Want to play D2 on PS5 (currently on PC), but just realized I had an old Bungie account for D1 on PS4
Please excuse my past-self idiocy. So I seemed to have made a Bungie account back for Destiny 1 when I played on PS4. However, there was a gap between playing D1 on PS4 and then eventually playing D2 on PC, so in that time I seemed to have forgotten I made a Bungie account already. So I assume when the whole Battle.net/Steam transition happened, it just slipped my mind and I made a new Bungie account.
[b]So here's my predicament:[/b]
I have currently never played D2 on a PlayStation console, I have ONLY played D1 on PS4 linked to that old Bungie account. Now, I want to link my CURRENT Bungie account to PlayStation so that way I can keep my progress and play on PS5 in addition to PC.
What would be the best way to do this? If possible, I'd like to avoid losing any items/progress on D1 since I do pop in every once and a while (I've also redeemed many codes for items over the years from events/collector's editions)
[b]Some quick clarification side notes in case these come up as questions:[/b]
- I have cross save enabled on my new/D2 Bungie account (only because I wanted to see how it worked with Stadia, but I only really play on PC)
- I have NOT enabled cross save yet on that old/D1 Bungie account. It only has my PlayStation account linked to it.

7 RepliesCreate a throwaway account on one of the supported platforms that isn't PSN. Then log into bungie.net with your old PSN account credentials. Once logged in go to Settings then Account Linking and add the throwaway account. Once added, log out of bungie.net and then log back in, but with the credentials of your throwaway account. Go back to the Account Linking section of Settings and click the Unlink button next to the PSN account. Now, log out of bungie.net and log back in using your Steam credentials. Go to the cross save set up page and click the Add button on the PSN panel and enter your PSN credentials to add the account to your profile and to cross save.
