Cross-Play Voice Chat Issue - Not able to hear other fireteam members

I'm experiencing issues hearing other fireteam members when doing a cross-play voice chat. I am on a PC and plying with 2 others which 1 is using a PS5 and another using PC. They both can hear each other and can also hear me. I cannot hear them. I have ensured i have enabled the voice chat and defaulted the voice settings. I have also uninstalled Destiny 2 and re-installed it. Can anyone advise any other steps i should try?

  • I had the same problem and just figured it out. Destiny is putting voice chat out to the wrong output. In my case, it was out HDMI to my monitor with no speakers. I only figured it out by disabling the sound to that output in the device. * right-click on the speaker icon in your toolbar, select Sounds * select the Playback tab and look for outputs are connected but you don't use (like monitors connected by HDMI or speakers on your controller) and disable them. I mention the controller because my PS5 controller ran out of juice near the end of a raid. I quick plugged it in and promptly lost all sound and comms as the game switched to the speaker and mic in the controller. Hope this fixes your problem too. Good hunting!
