Symbol of arrivals/ruinous effigy

Something that I’ve wondered ever since I got the ruinous effigy was what the perk’s image represented. Through a series of what can only be described as sheer dumb luck I stumbled upon the answer: the symbol represents a labyrinth. Labyrinths tend have a meaning of transformation, but in particular, a predetermined one. (This post is less about the actual ramifications and lore of the symbol, but more of sharing what the symbol itself is.)

  • Here’s what I always thought. So you know how season of arrivals is about alien( the darkness) contact? I always associated the labyrinth with a corn maze because of how alien contact in media is often associated with symbols left in corn fields. So that’s why it always figured it was a labyrinth, but the whole transformation definition thingy you found also makes a lot of sense. However I don’t know if the whole transformation thing fits with the theme of the season of arrivals, which also uses that symbol
