Dear Bungie,
I'm thankful for your constant efforts in improving Destiny the game and the player experience; despite your mostly autocratic, top-down decision making for the game direction, and quality of life fixes, etc.
This post is to simply share my experience playing D2 core playlists and to air my grievances, which are perhaps shared by others within this community.
Like many others, i play the game trying to have fun. When i'm done chasing powerful loot and pinnacles, i then try to play the core playlists like crucible and gambit, trying different builds, weapons and such. Of course there is always a meta, and i'm aware of it, just like everyone else. Yet, i still have to try all those weapons you released this season, right? even try out some old favourites sitting collecting dust in the vault. So, i do that and often times, i get deeply frustrated and too sad to continue playing the game because of how unbalanced and unbearable matchmaking made core playlist games.
It is not fun, when i'm ALWAYS pitted against a 6 stack of (unbroken/same clan) players in crucible, using Meta/Trials weapons with incredible movements, game sense and aim. Gambit is the same, if not worse. All of this is just too frequent that i feel helpless and unable to do anything. I don't care if you keep skill-based matchmaking, if a team of six (crucible) or four (gambit) wishes to play the game at a highest level, let them do so, against equally or unequally matched stack of players. just don't force the single player to play against a team ever again, please i beg you to consider it.
I never thought i'd be writing all of this but i'm being pushed to do so, because i cant play the game i love anymore. This is probably too long to read and it may well be pointless, but please, if this can reach devs, dmg04 or Cozmo please help improve the solo player experience.
Bring freelance to the crucible and to gambit.

I think every major playlist should have a freelance if there is going to be no skill-based matchmaking

No, what they should do is get rid off all the freelance playlist so that the playlists are more populated, and change the matchmaking so that teams play teams (with the best possible connection). The system shouldn’t be too strict though so that you can find games within a reasonable time. In other words, teams of 4-6 should play teams of 4-6 in 6v6, teams of 3-4 should play teams of 3-4 in 4v4, and teams of 2-3 should play teams of 2-3 in 3v3, and fill the lobby with smaller teams or solo players depending on the situation.
