The way Ticuu's Divination works is absolutely not suited to Crucible, its horrible. It is a PvE weapon, simply because even the .56 second draw time on the fastest bows is not fast enough to kill when every other gun exists in the game, and every bow takes 2 shots to kill. Ticuu's is meant to be a PvE room cleaner, and its great there, super awesome, but in Crucible this bow and the perk are absolutely useless because its just not fast enough. Asking for 50 Crucible kills with Ticuu's is absolutely asking too much, its ridiculous.
Bottom line, there are PvE weapons and there are PvP weapons. If its an effective PvP weapon, like Juju or Vigilance, by all means give it a PvP oriented catalyst, that's fine, it makes sense for those. If its a PvE weapon, like Ticuu's, please just keep its catalyst 100% out of the Crucible. Not everyone likes Crucible, especially given its current state that seems to be ignored by the company, but you keep shoving it down people's throats like its the end all for this game. I don't think its too much to ask for separation, letting people choose which route, PvP or PvE, that they will take to finish a catalyst.
This is hell, and I'm great with bows. They are one of my favorite weapons in this game. Just putting it out there. The only viable Crucible bow, just barely, is Le Monarque, and that's only because of the poison effect

I am stuck on this quest to this day. It's awful. Ticuu's is absolutely not made for pvp. I can't rant about this enough. Bungie needs to stop forcing players to do crucible kills with pure pve weapons immediately bc it just doesn’t make any sense at all. Even the shittiest gun performs better in pvp than most bows. Especially Ticuu's. It's outrageous at this point.

I hear ya. Another PvP weapon catalyst requiring a PvP kill count…what happened to ‘play your way’. Yeah I suck at PvP…so what, i never got into Destiny to play PvP. I play what I find fun and the only time I’m in PvP is because Bungie once again has forced me to. I’ve managed to get about 1/2 so far, mostly in momentum control but it’s a grind I find just too frustrating and as about as much fun as reading all the sweat lord comments on this post.
-
This bow is junk anyhow. Too many better legendary options.
-
Its a pretty lowend amount of pvp if I'm honest. Its not like the thorn quest from d1
-
Just wait until momentum control returns
-
i agree. i cant get a kill with it in pvp either. option bungie. you have done it before. but we all know they are just trying to feed us low kd players to the sweaties.
-
Butthurt
-
It also shouldn't require 2 FULL steps, before even getting the catalyst, on top of then having to upgrade said catalyst to use it.
-
As someone who plays crucible/gambit a lot I can tell you that most likely you're not a bow user. That bow is probably one of the best/braindead weapon I've ever used and it will most likely get nerfed/sunsetted. I can give you a short tutorial on how to use it: >Keep at a distance incase enemy has handcannons >Charge hipfire (you can move around as much as you can the hipfire locks on) >Aim charge fire >Explosion >ded unless they have extra shields just throw one more arrow. ads in PvE have the same hurtbox as players so practice that simple combo and you'll understand, not once will you have to engage in dangerous risky corners/battles unless you're rushing. In fact even if you get killed as long as the explosion gets triggered you AND the enemy you were facing will die together.
-
Have you tried not sucking and peak shooting?
-
Bro i got 10+ per lobby in lobbies off felwinters lie stasis sweats, its not hard (btw u have to aim the bow to have it do normal damage)
-
I’m just waiting till I hit rank 22 on the Season Pass.
-
I completed mine in mayhem and I suck at PvP. Hunter void. Anchor enemies and start shooting them with the bow. It’s super easy that way.
-
You can do it in gambit....

Weird way of saying you’re horrible at pvp
-
It's 13 kills with the bow if you're far enough in the season pass. Stop.

Edited by PhantomBrown: 2/13/2021 10:42:01 AMIf you are great with bows then you won't struggle at all. I'm terrible with bows and did it on like 3 matches dude.
-
Damn I didn't know the bow had "pve only" written on it... In all seriousness, this is a non issue.
-
Actually I think it should be done exclusively in PvP. Not everyone likes doing boring PvE.
-
I’m glad they put steps from the crucible in it. I’m tired of being FORCED to play pve all the time. It’s so freaking boring shooting at all the mind numb AI robots: go here, shoot this, go there, shoot that... it’s so redundant.
-
Catalysts shouldn't require pve at all.
-
Edited by Salmon Of Knowledge: 2/13/2021 9:51:51 PMIt does not require crucible, it requires guardian kills, gambit counts and is less of a sweatfest
-
That's how it always is for quests. They always add guardian kills count more towards progress for weapon kills. Bungie just wants us to play pvp.
-
The catalyst quest is fine. The PvP portion doesn’t take long at all to complete, just get in there and start shooting people. I used to be against locking exotics and catalysts behind pvp but now I’m fine with it. Even though PvP is a mixed bag it breaks up the monotony of doing the same activities over and over again.

It does work, you just gotta seriously play far back and close to your allies. The bow is an extremely powerful support weapon and its extremely lethal if you have an ally using the same bow.
