Masters are just as bad as the legend lost sectors
I’ve been farming the MASTER lost sector about 15 times and haven’t gotten a single drop. NOT A SINGLE DROP. IN THE MASTER. WHICH HAS EXOTIC DROPS LABELED AS COMMON.

Are you killing all of the champions to get platinum?

Not gonna lie it’s all just RNG and perseverance. On my titan I got Icefalls after 5 and Precious after 2. On hunter I got Embrace after 17 and Bakris on my first. It’s literally all RNG and yes getting platinum is required

That sounds really odd. I only know 3 people who soloed the 1250s and the longest it took anyone was 3 tries. Multiple characters. Most common was second run. Something not right or you have been unbelievably unlucky.
