Bad design if it only did anything special in Gambit. Most players don't grind a lot of Gambit for fun. They just do a couple matches to get their weeklies/quests and then they're done for the week.

I think that if it was mote oriented that it wouldn't work Mabey something like this Name:last stand "stand your ground and protect those around you. Will also have the missile that mountain top had and it would look like a mix of mountain tops stock and the main part of withhoard almost as if a shard of darkness had a stock added to it. And has void veins thru it along with a extra barrel attached underneath

If anything they will bring back breakneck as an exotic, just like im pretty sure Hawkmoon will have the same, if not very similar perks to lunas howl/NF. This would also explain the nerf to mountain top since its sunsetted so the only reason to nerf it would be because they plan of making an exotic version.

Gambit is redundant! Just one quick round...not worth it .

I don't mind another exotic tied to Gambit, but it would be a waste if it only worked in Gambit.

Yeeeeesss!!! Bring back breakneck and have the fire rate/damage increases tied to motes held. Give it 4 or 5 stacks instead of 3. Holding 20 notes, invasion inbound...”Surprise mf!!!” It’s actually “a gambit” and would fit the theme perfectly! You could make it op because it would be useless in all other pve/pvp activities.

It would be cool if they gave us interesting things for playing all the different modes, but people complain if there's literally anything in the game you can't get by playing regular old pve. Rewards for crucible and gambit? Nope, we're not allowed to have those!

Cloudstrike is a decent to use for Gambit exotic Or Trinity with it's cat. A mote empowered exotic would be too restrictive for exotic status imo. Maybe for a legendary Gambit pinnacle weapon or Gambit weapon mod? Could have mods that award speed, damage or chance of extra motes dropping on crit or multi kills?
