Shadebinder in PVE

New subclasses are out and they are all pretty cool, But after playing through with each subclass in the PVE content one thing became very clear. Shadebinder is very underpowered in PVE compared to the other 2 classes. The way I see it there are 2 main issues. our aspects and our abilities currently we have no way to shatter out of super other than shooting, and that already puts us behind in terms of dps because we can't shatter walls. Our super is also the least powerful out of the 3 for PVE, for the love of god we can't even shatter our own glacier grenades and our freeze output is so limited in our super that we basically need to have someone else freezing for us while we spam shatter. The other 2 classes don't have this restriction and are far more viable for solo DPS and add clear. Then when we take a look at our aspects things get even more depressing, The one we currently have is pretty nice although it doesn't really do a whole lot because by the time the trackers hit anything the enemy is usually dead to teammates or died on the initial shatter. The one we see in the trailers is the big problem, why does bungie keep on trying to get warlocks to use their rift as an offensive tool? The freezing rift is not enough to make this class useful by itself and unless the 3rd aspect is god tier (im talking equal to or better than shatter dive for hunters) shadebinder will once again go into the ever growing pile of unused warlock supers because attunement of grace is 10x better for team engagements and attunement of hunger is 10x better for solo fights. Please keep in mind this is only about PVE as I've spent most of my time in the PVE sandbox so far.

  • I highly disagree. Shadebinder does IMMENSE dps towards bosses and easily destroys trash mobs and tanky majors. It’s very good at crowd control, single target damage, and most of all PvP; this super is FAR from being underpowered.
