WARNING! bit of a long post. The gun is either a revolver-type sniper rifle or a hand-cannon (either way its a kinetic). Its Called "3 times the charm, it has 3 barrels and sort of a dark-age/iron banner look. the lore is somewhat of a discussion between felwinter and drifter discussing how neither of them were real big fans of the other iron lords. the perks are something like the following ideas. Sniper: * Iron sights- reduces range, greatly improves handling * Heavy Slugs- fires high impact slugs rather than normal ammunition * 3 shot slayer- this weapon fires three heavy slugs at the same time * Custom Stock- Increase stability, increases handling, slightly reduces reload speed ** Intrinsic trait~ long pressing reload changes the ammo between shield-piercing, staggering, and disruption rounds. or Hand cannon: *Heavy Barrel- Greatly reduces recoil, moderately reduces handling speed, increases range *Heavy Slugs- this weapon fires high impact slugs rather than normal ammunition *3 shot slayer- this weapon fires 3 heavy slugs at the same time * custom grip- Increases handling, increases stability, slightly reduces reload speed **intrinsic trait~ long pressing reload cycles the ammo between shield-piercing, staggering, and disruption rounds. Quest to obtain gun ( and catalyst) Talk to Ikora (give her something to do) and she start of with something like: "guardian it is good to see you, the darkness grows ever more a threat to us. however, while going through some old text I found there might be a gun that could help us. With all that is happening I don't have time to look for it myself, could you go to the cryptarc's library (or whatever its called) and look for clues as to where its at?" after accepting the player has to do a slight platformer or logic puzzle to get to the library where they find out about drifter being a possible connection. when you approach the drifter about the subject he could say: "hey brotha/snitch, you been poking your nose where it don't belong again Hmm? Well ol' drifter knows what your after, and yeah, I got it. If you want it prove yourself, ol' felwinter was one of the few that hated the other iron lords almost as much as I did. I'm not to keen on giving his gun to just anyone. 1st quest step(called "Fight to survive")~ complete and/or win 3 gambits, playlist strikes, and crucible matches Upon completion return to drifter: "Well I'll be damned snitch/brotha, I can see you want it bad, but this gun was made in the dark age. Lotta bad stuff happening back then, you bad enough to handle all this guns been through?" 2nd quest step (called "darkness abounds")~ get 111 kills on fallen, vex, taken, scorn, cabal, and hive each Again return to drifter: "You just don't quit do ya brotha/snitch? You've proven you can handle darkness, and that you can win with your pals at your side, but this gun? It was made to kill Iron Lords, there ain't many of those left so why don't you go kill the closest thing we still got?" 3rd quest step (called "champs are chumps)~ kill 25-50 champions (based on some nightfalls having like 10 champions) return to drifter one last time: "I'll be, where were you back in the dark-age? Coulda used you back then if you was this good! You definitely got what is takes to wield this gun, here you go." * receive 3 times the charm * Return to Ikora: "Guardian you've returned, and you have the weapon. It should serve you well against the coming threat" ** catalyst can be found while free roaming, its challenge is get precision kills on challenging combatants. the bonus is that when landing precision shots on champions the shot is refunded.** Additional notes (that i may or may not have forgot) * has a 4 round clip (as stated early each shot is 3 slugs) with 16 rounds in reserve * if its a sniper rifle it has a more musket-like design *either way it has a little bit of a "felwinter feel" (idea being the gun was made by drifter and felwinter)
