We could in D1. And its still stupid I have to use 2 or more shots to kill a red bar ad like an average Vandal or Acolyte. It makes no sense
EDIT: Handcannons aren't the only weapons suffering here. But taking 3 headshots to kill 1 thrall is stupid.
EDIT 2: yes, you can 1 shot ads with 150s in patrols and such. I know that. But going into actual leveled game play areas, like Raids, Gambit, NF, Dungeons, etc.. you can't. The point is that in D1 you could take a 140 into a raid and not have to empty the mag to get 3 kills. We have lost damage when we shouldn't have and that's whats annoying

Edited by AdligerAdler: 10/25/2020 4:02:00 PMBut I one tapped Dregs and Acolytes with (uncharged) Sturm on patrol yesterday when I finished the catalyst.
-
No. No point to using finishers if you’re one-tapping everything.
-
A hand cannon in D2 can one tap any ad in any content with no outside variables and no exceptions other than rapid fire frame HCs and occasions when you have low light level. in D1 its a different story (shanks took 3 HC shots in anything other than patrol) but thats not the point.
-
the damage adjustment, nerfs, buffs(if they ever make any) are completely based on pvp feedbacks not partial, not 99%, completely bungie is not aware that pve exist, nor do they understand what a red bar is
-
Funy thing is that Destiny 1 is a game way harder than Destiny 2. Bungie just lost all tallented devs.
-
Nope, what bothers me is that we went from becoming more powerful in the first game, to getting weaker each year that goes by in this game that it's now become wimps.
-
Yes. I hate it too, However Bungie sadly has made it clear that rewarding skill isnt the directions they want their game to be going. They have sadly been leaning towards rewarding what gun you use, (I.e. Shotgun, auto rifle.) I really wish they would buff hand cannons as the 150 to 140 chance will further the already outrageous devide between autos and hand cannons. There is no excuse for the easiest gun to use to also have the most range and best ttk.

Edited by Ricochet 049: 10/24/2020 10:45:20 AMI could’ve sworn that I was one hit killing plenty of enemies. In strikes and dungeons. And that was with a 180 so I wasn’t even hitting them that hard. The ones that need more convincing to go down are usually a bigger threat.

Earlier today i was playing prophecy. Noticed that a crit to boss from a nearly platform dealt 3099, gun was dire promise. Further into the dmg phase I started shooting vex hogoblins, crit dmg to them with the same weapon from a farther distance(about 15 bodies) was 4700ish... What is going on?? 🤔
-
IDK what game you are playing but I have the "Old Fashioned" as a HC with Explosive rounds and masterworked reload and it 1 taps anything from a major down with incredible accuracy I might add. In pinnacle events it 2 taps them. Maybe you got a shit HC. What are you using? Dire Promise?
-
I was one tapping red bars with a dire promise today. No damage buff either. I was using opening shot and range finder roll.

It encouraged me just sitting in the back and mindlessly dumping ammo at their spawn locations. I much love the D2 sandbox in that mindset. I think that one shotting ads in lower tier content is fine and where it should be, while more effort should be required from dungeons and raids. I also found killing thrall in one shot with hand cannons to be really easy in CoS personally, tho I didn't test 180 RPM ones.
-
Why though? It’s not really needed, you in general should always be aiming for crit spots anyways.

I have a Hand of Judgment (scout) I used for Wrath of the Machine for shanks and dregs (even in Hard Mode raids). One hit. Everytime. Too bad that when Ghaul landed, he nerfed guns like mine along with hand cannons. He was more powerful than any other force. He limited to fixed rolls, slower movements, etc... That was the REAL tragedy of the invasion.

If you want an easy game go play CoD otherwise stop asking for overpowered weapons
-
A Traffic Cone you make some valid points and I agree that eververse needs to be removed from the game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Scout rifles has entered the chat.

Use graviton lance and kill four with one headshot.

I honestly dont know if your trolling or not.

Thank you for providing zero context to your post. In low level activities, you CAN kill many red bar enemies such as Dregs and Thrall with a single headshot with a 150 RPM hand cannon. Other enemies such as Vandals or Acolytes require 2 shots with a 150 RPM hand cannon, but, you can one shot them with a 110 RPM hand cannon. Other enemies such as Captains and Knights may take more to kill, but why do you think you should be able to one shot them? Low level content is still incredibly easy, why do you have to one tap everything to feel powerful? In endgame activities, no. Raids and Nightfalls should be more difficult, and it shouldn't be incredibly easy to kill any enemy. And even with that in mind, once you are over-leveled, you can still one shot more red bar enemies in raids with a 150 RPM hand cannon, so I really don't see the problem.

I sad how we’ve only gotten weaker since d1 It made sense since everything got oofed from Garry but now Now it’s just stupid
-
3 headshot to kill a thrall? In what mode... I literally 1 tap thrall with a precision hand cannon in heroic strikes.
-
This is our hamsterwheel. You will enjoy it whether you like it or not. ~ xoxo Bungie

Scouts should be able to do it too.

YES!!!
