If you are looking for a little more in a clan... take just a moment of your time and read on: I am an older gamer, who has been playing since the Destiny 1 Beta. I love the Destiny gameplay, the graphics, the tight movement and shooting controls and all of the sweet loot. I hate the Grind that Bungie tries to pigeonhole us into. I don't have any emblems, no pinnacle weapons, probably only about half of the exotic weapons in the game... I just don't have the time or patience to grind most of these things out. I play Destiny to relax, unwind, shoot enemies and take my mind off of real life. Most days that I play Destiny, I only have an hour or so, so I jump on to accomplish one or two things quickly... strikes for the pinnacle reward, Gambit for the pinnacle reward, knock out some Banshee-44 bounties for enhancement cores, etc. I get so tired of the constant "need 2 for a raid", "need 1 for nightfall" every time I get on to play, and being expected to drop what I am doing and help out. I have absolutely NO problem helping people out, filling in on a fireteam for a nightfall or a raid, but I like to do it another way. I like to see events that people need a fireteam for, SCHEDULED, so that I can see if it fits into my schedule, usually on the weekend, or so I can move my schedule around to join the event. This way makes it much more enjoyable for me. I also like having some laughs and engaging in some shenanigans while doing pretty much anything in the game with clan members when I have a few hours to kill. What I am looking to find, is even a small group of like-minded players, who use our clan Discord to communicate and SCHEDULE events that they need help with or want to do with other clan members, and who understand that it may take a while to get together a team to do it. I would love to look forward to trying a raid I haven't done yet with clan members on the weekend, even if we only learn one or two encounters at a time. I would love to jump into the Haunted Forest with other clan members for a few hours, just for the fun, laughs and shenanigans to relax on a Friday night. The clan, and Discord is pretty darn empty right now. I'm hoping to change that, and find a few people that want to play and enjoy Destiny the way they want to, and get together with others when we can to have some laughs and enjoy the game even more together.
