So let's be real. Outside from upgrade modules, Banshee is borderline useless. Well, a lot of the vendors are but Banshee is the one called a gunsmith and doesn't even do anything with guns. The mods are nice, but any regularly playing player doesn't need them.
So, I got a couple ideas:
1. He hosts some player-driven market system. A lot of MMOs have a system where a player can craft or earn an item and sell it to another. Well, what if Destiny had that? Say I'm grinding for a perfect sword and I get a perfect Dire Promise I don't need along the way. What if I could give that Dire Promise to Banshee and say "I want this sword with these perks exactly, or the best offer of my choice after a week." Or I can ask for legendary shards or masterwork materials. Or glimmer or bright dust.
Now there would have to be limitations of course. No pinnacle or exotic weapon trading and you could only ask for exotic armor currently in your collections. No silver at all. Since this would be a worldwide public marketplace, this would not result in real money being spent on guns.
This would be a great way to bring value to everyday loot. You might not want that roll, but someone does.
2. Banshee allows you to change one perk to a perk of your choice on a gun one time per gun.
3. Banshee allows you to change the masterwork of weapons.
Let me know what you guys think.
