Honestly I'd say just build a PC anyway. Consoles are great for casual stuff but Destiny 2 on PC is just a flat out better experience (cheaters in PvP notwithstanding). I had the opportunity to switch over a few months ago and bought a PC that can run D2 perfectly well for about £800 (and that was pre-built, you'll definitely be able to do it for less if you're building it yourself.)
The Xbox Series X is what, $500? you probably wouldn't need to save up much more to build a decent PC so I'd say the answer is fairly obvious in my book.
No hate on consoles btw, I've played on them for most of my life. I think it just depends on what kind of gaming you're into. PC is better for hardcore gaming but has a higher barrier to entry, console is better for casual gaming at the cost of customisation and hardware.
I’m not playing against cheaters and abandoning my clan unless the series x option is just dressed up trash
I’m not playing against cheaters and abandoning my clan unless the series x option is just dressed up trash
Fair enough. All my friends on console stopped playing the game so I didn't really have much to lose by switching over. I'm not overly optimistic about the next gen consoles due to all the usual marketing bullshit.

Edited by xbroggiex: 9/16/2020 1:53:04 PMTbh Series S kinda blows out the option for getting a PC since it would be quite hard to find/build a PC that can run Destiny 2 very well for £250. Plan on getting one because of game pass and cool shiz like that.

If you're in the market for a PC and have the budget to afford one up front, it's an alternative to play both pc exclusives and console ports. But I digress - for the budget gamer Series S is unbeatable.

Edited by xbroggiex: 9/18/2020 1:45:42 PMI plan on getting one because I'm not all in for 4K gaming so the £450 for a Series X is a bit steep, and I only want an upgrade from the Xbone to play D2 on so that maybe I don't die of old age before I load into the tower. I do expect maybe an option for higher FOV on the new version of D2 for next gen though, maybe not all the way up to 110-120 FOV but a man can hope. Not even 90 FOV is good enough for me anymore makes me feel motion sick if I'm playing quite close to the screen.

If you get fov update and fps update along with K+M support. It’s the same experience with pc.

Have you played the new consoles already?
