I would really like the option to play strikes either alone or in a duo with a friend.
Click Strikes, yeah? Click Vanguard Strikes, as in the Strike Playlist... Then have the OPTION to matchmake with others OR the OPTION to play Solo/ with only a second guy in your fiireteam.
...why?
Of course I'll explain.
The face-rolling and grindy boring bounties Bungie fitted us with have us competing with strangers in PVE, and that is annoying. I'd like the ability to play a simple strike alone, or with a buddy, in order to have more fun with strikes, more of a small challenge, and in order to avoid being forced to speed run strikes when I play them. ...I can set up a nightfall solo, so, why not a normal strike? ...I'd like the chance to chill in a playlist and just run some strikes with my buddy, without the likes of players who have names like "Poofinger" or "Yeet"-something, just speed running, wearing the dumbest looking armor, glitching, and just generally ruining the challenge and vibe of a chill little time with my few friends I have in this game.
- More on why I think this?

I'm a very social player in any game I am spending time in. I usually want to meet new players as often as possible, and help to hold the banner for the advanced playerbase. I really enjoy teaching new players, and helping to fill out a team for late game activities when people need one. But Destiny is different...
I haven't enjoyed meeting people in Destiny, well, the first issue is that it's not in Destiny when I do meet them, it's on social media. I've only ever heard a mic twice in about 1000 hours of 95% PVE playtime. Chatting in the tower, I hear can be done, but I have never seen it work as a method to meet other people. When I do meet others, like, say from an LFG post - they have been abrasive, indifferent, "optimal" late game nerds who PVP most of the time. They tell me what gear to use, what sub-class to use, where to stand, wait, go, stop, run, etc. They are eager to take me in to a dungeon or something and ruin it, explaining my "job", the mechanics, telling me stories of their first time in there, etc.
You get the idea. I've played with about 3-4 dozen people at this point in my destiny adventure and they are all like this, if not, they want me to pvp with them - which is just not fun for a guy who lives in the woods with a trash-tier ISP.
I stopped trying to meet anyone to play with. I have a friend who LOVES this game more than ANY HUMAN SHOULD, and he doesn't play PVP either, it's just me and him. In Strikes, we are constantly paired with people who aren't good team-mates. The nature of bounties is such that we all need kills, we all want cores/xp/etc, and it's just a balls-out race to land the last shot or get ahead of everyone else in order to farm the next room... Players glitch the strikes that can be glitched, they trigger the boss without a care in the world for where we are, they are anti-social at LEAST as much as I have become in this game... We need the ability to run a strike playlist solo or with a friend. We can do it with 3, so why not 2?
I'll close with the observation that most people I have ever met in this game wanted me to join their clan, immediately. It's not even a matter of who I am, we didn't meet and play together first, it is simply the first step to meeting a full 75% of the people I have met. I see written very often that people don't even play with their clans, which, I thought would have been the point. Not sure what the answer is but the clan shouldn't be the first concern among players. I think it's another example of how the players are using something from the developer that is well-intended, in a way that is actively not how it was intended to be used. I know I'm on thin ice with all of you just posting here so I'll leave it at that.
Call it a "rant", well, I don't post here often and wanted to explain my point and experience. If you see anything about what I'm saying that might be kinda true, I ask you what can we do - you and me - to change that for the better? For us, for newer players, for existing players, for loner idiots like me, for the sweats who want more people to sweat with - what do yall think?

Check the poll, reply if you want. Bungie.net won't remember my login so I probably won't come check on the post, it's too much of a headache to post here and I don't think this will be received well. People/people's children usually don't like me when I write on the net =)
Thanks yall.
