Used to play Destiny 1 a bunch. Stopped playing Destiny 2 after its first dlc because it was washed out, devoid of content, and an indication that mistakes would be repeated. Back to ask Bungie again, after all this time, to fix a few things. One of which is unlikely, but would be massively beneficial. The other two are big things that I feel need changed for the sake of upholding the idea of Guardians being champions of light. 1. Revert subclasses to their Destiny 1 state. One of the prime issues I had in Destiny 2 (aside from Defender class being ruined by being turned into Sentinel instead) is that there is no sense of customization, individuality and experimentation in subclass setups. Back in Destiny 1 I had several different configurations I used for all types of content across all 3 classes. In Destiny 2 I don't bother changing because either one segment is just better than the others, or none of them are really good all-around and I just had to run that subclass because reasons. With apparently new subclasses coming out, it'd be a great time to look over the current system and work on revising it into what it once was. 2. Permit weapon (and subclass) swapping in endgame content. -been a long while so I'm not sure which content restricts it atm- No reason I should really have to say anything on this. We earned our weapons, we carry them with us, let us adjust our gear on the fly to suit the situation. Ammo penalties or not, optimizing gear on the fly is important in efficiently clearing content. Being restricted from doing that gives a huge burden to solo players that D1 did not have, and also backs you into a corner when content like Trials has unfavorable matchups. 3. Fireteam wipe timers in Raids In Destiny 1 some of the most fun moments were when heroic raids dropped down to the wire with bosses nearly dead, but a part of the fireteam dead with it because of failed mechanics (or buggy stuff like the Oryx orb on the platforms). But those don't happen in D2. Because when one person dies, you're suddenly in the mindset of 'we're going to wipe now because that guy just died over there and the only person with a revive token remaining isn't paying attention.' Vault of Glass was raided by three. It's doable with two. Chances are some existing raids can also be done with less, but again, I haven't been keeping up to date. I love the franchise that Destiny was built upon, but these huge changes from D1 to D2 were just terrible blows to the feel of it and felt like there was no reason to continue being an efficient and upstanding performer in the field. I was happy to see that you guys reverted the f*up with Saint-14, but every time I consider coming back, it's either some crappy media response you give (cheater comment) or just these core mechanics that have been obliterated that remind me of what the game has become. I loved Destiny 1. And if Destiny 2 were an actual, true successor and still not just a washed out version of it, I'd still be playing it... Also it'd be nice if Keen Scout got fixed in D1 if you guys still have control on that... Because its marking effect still doesn't work if used with Felwinter's Artifact (bring those back, too). I put up a poll so that people that aren't talkative can indicate their thoughts on the matter without responding.
