You bring pinnacle weapons but you will not need them. I offer only commonsense. The concept of sunsetting has been around in RPG's and MMO's since forever. Different games have different ways of doing it but the idea remains the same: New content. New level cap. New gear. Diablo 3 raised the cap to 70 after 2 years. Borderlands 2 released Ultimate Vault Hunter mode a year after release. Trash MMO's like Neverwinter release updates that bump the Gear score up in new levels. In all these games the idea remains the same: Put your stank ass crusty ass old ass gear away and farm for new stuff to play the new content.

I understand that you are upset, but just Hush for a moment while I ask you this Loaded Question: "Would you rather be a Recluse being bound to your old overpowered weapons, or play the game with new weapons in search of your next Mountaintop moment?" Although this may seem like Bungie is the Revoker of all your hard work, these weapons will surely be Not Forgotten as you seek out new weapons. Be sure to get a big breath of fresh Oxygen SR3 to ensure you don't reach a state of 21% Delerium, you won't need to Breakneck in order to reach your potential through the use of new weapons. Luna's Howl. Wendigo GL3. All forced puns aside, Pinnacle weapons are EXACTLY the reason we need to sunset weapons. Mountaintop and Recluse completely dominate the PVE meta, even after their nerfs. They will continue to dominate the PVE meta unless they are either nerfed out of existence OR they are sunset preventing them from moving forward to new power enabled content. I prefer sunsetting to straight up nerfs, but that's just me.

Unless they intend to make reprised (and buffed) versions of them, I see no point in sunsetting them, not to mention they won't exactly be "pinnacle weapons" if they get capped, doesn't help that there are relatively easy to grind weapons that are comparable, equal or better anyway like Blast Furnace compared to Redrix, Beloved/ Tranquility compared o Revoker, or Outrageous Fortune to Wendigo (that probably changed with the nerf though). If done right, they won't break anything, I've made posts before of how to go about that. Redrix. Eigher change the sights, or adjust the RPM/ damage to match a 540 and change Desperado to increase damage to match a 340. Luna/ NF. Rework MH. Head shots grant up to 2 stacks, resets the same way it does now. Each stack increases range by half the current total and damage by 6-7%, head shots gain the benefit again, double the numbers in PVE. Head shot damage over 3 shots increases to a little less than 220, but you'll survive a 2 head 1 body if you have high enough resilience. Breakneck. Ambitious Assassin. Hush. Precision kills reset Archer's Gambit. Wendigo. Give it Spike Grenades or increase damage for each orb of light (each stack increases damage by 15-20% on top of the initial boost). Loaded Question. It's probably the only weapon that would benefit from a mag size reduction. Otherwise, either let explosions occur on every kill instead of just the first on a full mag or let multikills restore ammo. Oxygen. Increase Meganeura stacks. Kills with Dragonfly further increase damage of the next explosion (does not stack with buffed explosion kills). Recluse. Give back the crit multiplier (it kills in a minumum of 9 shots unless you have 100 resilience compared to the previous 8 shots, pointless nerf when it fires 15 times a second), and increase MoA body shot buff to be right between Rampage 2-3X OR Multikill Clip 2-3X (27-41.5% respectively). Not much can be done with Mountaintop, Revoker, and Delirium without breaking them, but here's something anyway. Revoker returns 1 shot if 2 head shot kills are quickly made. Mountaintop gets Snapshot. Delirium increases movement speed and handling with Killing Tally.

it legit only takes one day to get a pinnacle done. sunset them as long as the same amount of items get put in to the game. also beta player aswell here but they respect our time by giving us cool stuff not by keeping the meta the same for all eternity.
