Just got my first hate message on D2 lol
Here's the exact conversation, H: him M: me, this was after a match I won on survival and he was on the opposite team

Edit: also he was using OEM as well so you can't say "well you was being cheap and using oem"

Some clan mates and I were just having fun, playing some gambit prime to complete some bounties we had. We lost a match, but we were having fun. Our invader, was testing out his new leviathans breath and was having a good time invading and getting a lot of kills. Again, we’re we’re just playing and having fun while completing our bounties. Weren’t going at this round too hard. Like I said, we lost. Our invader got a message from a guy on the winning team saying “all that try hard invading and you still lost”. We all had a really good laugh at that. Like, you’re so but hurt you got killed too much, even though you still won the match, you still want to be petty and talk shit. Children will be children.

I got one in gambit. The guy said ffs deposit motes. I remember the end results showed I lost two motes and deposited quite a bit and he didn’t deposit that many and lost well over 20. I replied with how many motes he lost compared to me and he never responded.

Jeez, kids these days. Last time that happened to me was back during rise of iron. I beat a blueberry out in crucible and he called me an a$$hole (that’s literally all he said). I didn’t see the message until days later cause I got an exotic (can’t remember which one, might have been a rocket launcher) at the end of that match. I was pretty new to the game back then so I must have been to excited to notice.

1 ReplyThis is just my opinion, and it may be an unpopular one, but here it is: If you take the time to message someone post-match to say anything other than “GG” or something similar, you’re an idiot and need to realize this is just a game. If the person in question was laggy, cheap or in some way cheating, I say report them and move on. We all know Bungie is notoriously bad for how they deal with supposed cheaters, but that’s your only recourse. Sending messages back & forth accomplishes nothing.
