They made it seem like you could benefit more from the new armor over the old but all it is is just regrinding for the same perks, only to be as good as you were before..

As a D1 vet, Hunter main and top tier gamer I fervently disagree. Those of us in the 1% need the extra modification options. We engage in endgame content that the casuals don’t understand and can’t complete.

Yeah, what happened to all the take out affinity posts? I was hoping the last twab would launch people in pushing harder for them to take it out. It's such a crappy limitation that it's just there to hold people back

I got my enhanced targeting perks from Iron Banner and now I'm starting to enjoy building my armour. BUT...the elemental affinity needs to go (I want the Black Armoury Hunter armour but i need it to be void for all my perks. Just let me reroll the element Bungie because f*ck the restrictive steps for getting Black Armoury Armour!) and the cost of masterworking is far too high. Armour 2.0 - play your way...as long as players follow some overly restrictive rules set in stone by Bungie.

The flexibility is nice. Elemental shit needs to go though. Overall I like it. Maxed recharge grenades on my lock, stupid high recharge rates on my supers for my titan and hunter. All and all makes me more effective for pvp and quest step killing. Since now every quest is shared between your characters.... no more void melee kills farming on my hunter woot.

Agreed..... The whole arc/void/solar type tied to specific weapons and armor isn’t fun. It’s mind numbing boring

I’ve been playing with only one perk on my legendary gear since launch. Could I have spent the glimmer? Sure, but why would I if I’m gonna dismantle that piece of gear in a couple days?

The idea was great, the implementation not so much. More forced loadouts if you want to have multiple weapon perks going at the same time. No extra ammo for MG if you want extra ammo for a sniper for example. Why don't we ever get to just play with gear the way we want without feeling some sort of penalization?

I'm still not clear on how exactly this so called armor 2.0 really works. Is there a benefit to even masterworking anything anymore, doesn't seem it like to me.

I kind of agree. I get that we can customize our builds more but cool downs didnt change much if at all. 2.0 feels like a grind for the same level of shit i already had in last seasons.
