  • That was 2 years ago and you have played it for that long. Nobody else is asking for a refund that is really low.

There will be no extra compensation for already owning any of the New Light content. You had up to 2 years of extra events, equipment, experiences, and activities that new players will never get to see. Do you feel you didn't get $60 worth of entertainment out of that 2 years of playtime across 7 Seasons? You'll need to speak with whatever retailer you purchased the game from if you wish to request some sort of refund. As a personal curiosity question, how come you didn't make a big fuss back when Destiny 2 became free with the Destiny 2 Forsaken Legendary Collection? The Legendary Collection was 59.99 USD. At the time, the cost of Forsaken was 39.99, the Expansion Pass was 34.99, and Destiny 2 was 59.99 all on its own. Yet, that 134.97 worth of content was priced at 59.99. Destiny 2 was already free at that point, especially when you consider that from that point on, you couldn't buy the Destiny 2 game all on its own as a standalone; it was only available as part of a bundle (just like it is now). Destiny 2 has been free for a while, so it's strange that you're only making a fuss now that it's advertise purposefully as free, instead of back when it was actually included for free in bundles.

    • You could probably return the game to GameStop and just download it digitally, if you bought the game digitally then I don't think you can return it

    • Allo there, No compensation was given to players. Think of it that you had an advanced preview of the game. However if you want a refund you'll need to speak to the retailer you bought it from as only they can refund you.
