Hello everyone! Who wants to help me in a fun experiment? As you all know, Shadowkeep’s release marked a big change in Destiny 2, and all gear was set to a default power level of 750. BUT I am a little bit of a nostalgic collector and kept my original gear from the beginning of Destiny 2. This includes the Scorched armor sets from the first mission, the Traveler’s Chosen (Damaged) sidearm from the first mission, and the Dreamer’s Class items given to us by Tyra Karn. Upon looking through my Vault, I discovered that these items didn’t change to Light Level 750. Even the Sorrow MG2 (the submachine gun that we pick up as our first weapon after escaping the City) has been raised to 750. So I thought, “If everyone has a base Light Level of 750, how funny and confusing would it be if I made my Light Level much lower?” So I equipped the Scorched armor sets and Traveler’s Chosen (Damaged) to all my characters. Does anyone know of any other gear that didn’t change Light Levels? How low can you get your Light? The only other way to get lower would be to have a Power Weapon with less than 750, but I don’t think there were any special low level Power Weapons that could have been left below 750.
