Trying to understand Mods 2.0 and the Collection (seems broken/bugged).
This sh*t seems to be a bit arbitrary.
So I want to use the Lost Pacific Helmet because it looks cool, right?
I get one from Sloane without any issues and then dismantle it (stats weren't what I was looking for), and then pull it from the Collection since that version has heaps of mobility.
This is great, and now I just need to infuse it be on level and slot some mods in, right?
Wrong. The version I pulled from the collection doesn't have any mod slots for v2 mods. Only one slot for the old mods (of which I have none because they were marked as deprecated in my inventory so I deleted them).
Same deal for the Swordflight 4.1 that I got from crucible when compared to the one from the Collection.
So armour from the Collection doesn't get the 2.0 slots. Except that the Celestial Nighthawk I pulled yesterday had 3 slots as expected. WTF.
Guns also don't seem to get the 2.0 slots. I pulled a Halfdan-D the other day because I needed an AR for a challenge, and found that I liked the gun. I realised today when checking for slots on stuff I'd pulled from the Collection that the gun only has a masterwork slot.
Interestingly, the SMGs which dropped for me when I was farming Alkane on Titan don't have slots either.
What's going on? Why don't all newly created armour pieces just have the new slots? It's not like it's something which needs to be specifically tailored for each piece to maintain balance. This should have been a simple blanket change.
I don't get it. Am I missing something?
