Yeah I rather like the new armor system but I think its even more 'expensive' to fully upgrade now. I think they should have changed it a little, when upgrading the energy on the armor to fit all the mods I think it should only require shards and glimmer, apart from the last few slots, using those prisms for the last few slots is fair. It just so expensive on enhancement cores, since you need 10 of them to even buy the prism and when you need a couple plus an enhancement core for pretty much every energy upgrade it sucks. I am pretty much doing the bounties from banshee on all three characters just so I can use them on my main.

  • I think 1 set of armor per character is the way to go now unless you want to spend 1000s of hours playing. Intellect, mobility, resilience or recovery and swap mods to match your weapons/activity.

  • Ultimately yes, but its difficult to get something with the right rolls and I have found I have half decent gear at the moment but I am only 910. To get a higher light level I need to grind out more gear and while it appears I will be using my current gear for a while I want to be able to at least but mods on the stuff, hence why I think the enhancement core requirement it a little too high.

Im sticking to 1 armor set for each character with element taking priority over the stats (all void except solar class item). Hopefully the cost to fully masterwork wont to be bad for just 1 set.

  • Read this from one of the clan mates Breaking down everything you need, to rank a piece of armor from Rank 5 to Rank 10 is: 19 Legendary Shards 163 Enhancement Cores 425 of Planetary Materials required (might be two different ones) 193,500 Glimmer Still too extreme in my personal opinion.

  • Well isnt that the cost of buying all the enhancement/ascendant prisms from the gunsmith? Because thats like saying the cost to masterwork y2 armor is the cost of buying cores from spider all at once.

  • Yes that is true. But from what I have found and what my friends have found prisms are a rare drop, in most cases very rare so most of us will have to buy several to supplement. Y2 armor was still far less expensive, even if buying core from spider, which i often did just over a few days. And I don't think it should be easy to master work armor, but I do think it needs to be a little less expensive, not cheap but a little less heavy on the rare consumables. That's just my opinion, I play the game quite a lot and still at this rate will never have a even half a master worked set, in fact I probably wont have any masterworks for quite some time as just upgrading the energy level takes quite a few materials.
