Gambit is a game mode a large portion of the community enjoys. That said, there are some both minor and bigger tweaks i would like to see. (Disclaimer: This is referring to standard Gambit, not Gambit Prime.) -Change the mechanics of invasions. In normal Gambit, a team can invade every time 25 motes are deposited into their bank. Seems like nothing's wrong, right? I'm inclined to disagree. Far too often do i see a team get overloaded with blockers and then be invaded, only to lose all their motes and start back from 0. In the meantime, the other team's untouchable, and can keep building up blockers, making the other team that's already lost momentum get held back further, then eventually they're invaded again, and they're utterly helpless against them. The only way this team could win by this point is if they have a good invader who can buy them time whilst they scramble for motes. All in all, I feel gambit's current invader mechanics are too harsh on a already losing team. It's just kicking them when they're already down. "But firehead, how would they fix this?" One way Bungie could is by having it that enemies will attack invaders too, increasing the risk/reward factor for invaders. Also, Bungie could allow the taken (i.e primevals, envoys, rank and file taken) to attack the invaders too. As we could see in a cutscene, the drifter summoned a taken captain and was almost attacked by one. It's not too far of an idea to have guardians get attacked by much stronger taken. One other way Bungie could change invasions is have them on a scripted time (for instance, like 2 1/2 minutes). Those are my thoughts on invasions and how you could fix them. -Ranked Gambit I know, I know, I'm crazy, but hear me out. If you've played a extensive amount of Gambit, you've likely encountered people who are very serious about winning. If we gave them a ranked version of Gambit, they could enjoy higher stakes, while casual Gambit players can simply enjoy the game. Also, adding a ranked version opens up opportunities for more pinnacle weapons to people who hunt that kind of stuff down. That's all I have to write. I doubt this will get any traction, much less like minded people agreeing with me, but these are simply my opinions on how they could help prolong Gambit's life cycle. If you disagree, tell me. I'd like to know where you people stand on the state of Gambit.
