I dont get the hate with countdown. I believe it's one of the better gamemodes in competitive because its elimination with a twist. Countdown pushes the team to act in a different way and actually make a choice, choose a strategy and see if it is successful. Starting the countdown puts the pressure on the enemy which is good because pressure is what drives people to succeed. It's by far one of the most balanced game modes in the game. Control is trash Clash is trash. Survival is OK but team shot is obviously meta. People seem to want modes where it's all just kill kill kill no mechanics or anything. Countdown requires a different part of the brain to use, which most people hate using because they're not used to it.
