Moreso in prime but even normal gambit they need some form of counter.
My suggestions:
1. Wall hack lasts first 10 seconds then dissapears.
2. Prime set overshield needs to not be so bulky, you need a direct hit with truth to have a chance at securing the kill and even that sometimes hasnt been enough.
3. Damage buff should ONLY be given in the event the invader defeats all 4 enemies.
4. Sentry set should counter invader set bank lock with it's own t4 perk by forcefully unlocking the bank when the sentry is near the locked bank.
5. Sentry set should recieve a radar ping perk that gives you a general but not precise idea of where the invader is.

Or just remove gambit. 👍
-
The sentry could’ve been so much more better wouldn’t mind tbh if they’re allowed to wall hack like the invader at full set
-
Ban Truth for use in Gambit.
-
Or just use blast furnace. I've dropped a few people from sniper distance with it. 🤔🤷♂️

This game would be great if it wasn’t for people! Lol it’s true..

I agree with the fact that Invaders right now have the most oppriment role in Gambit and that the Sentry-Collector Sets need a buff. The result of many matches are decided by who invades first and the result of that invasion. However... Counter-invade an Invasor is not that hard. These are the words of a guy that is ABSOLUTELY TRASH in PvP and who HATED Gambit, but learned how play it. First of all, every map has only three spots where the Invader can spawn. Memorized those spots, is pretty easy to find the Invader in the first 3-5 seconds of his invasion. Of course, you also need to be lucky sometimes, that's absolutely true and still you're fighting against a guy that always knows where you are. RIght now with tracking Rocket Launchers, Snipers, Jotun, Linear Fusion Rifles, even Pulse Rifles ecc stop an Invader it's not that hard. Another very importat thing that I've understood is that the worst enemy of any anti-invader are his own teammates. For the Traveler sake, I swear... I've lost the count of how many times I've seen players don't bank for whataver reason and get completely destroyed by the Invader because when they are invaded they still continue to collect Motes instead of run or hide... You don't need to get 15 Motes to bank. You all have enough motes to send an Invader? Just Bank, blocker or not... JUST. BANK. You see that the other team have more motes of you and are probably going to Bank/Invade? Stop doing whatever you're doing and run to Bank. it's not that hard... also, having a good invader/anti-invader is still not a promise of victory. Two days ago I did a match with 13 Invasion/Anti-Invasion kills in total, still we lost the game 'cos my team wasn't able to summon/damage the Prime boss. Gambit/Gambit Prime need to be fixed for sure, however, players should try to learn what to do instead to just complain for they own mistakes (I'm not talking about you rajaang, this is just a personal and general opinion).

The amount of Heavy Ammo is the main problem in Gambit, but I suspect that it won't be changed because lower skilled players would have a much harder time. After 15+ Infamy resets and getting the Reckoner title, Heavy Ammo was responsible for probably 90% of the Invasion kills I saw. I saw some people sniping, but the vast majority would just use Hammerhead or Truth because they're braindead easy.

Maybe Invaders need to somehow "earn" the invasion, not just camp the portal. Also, no wallhacks when invading, and remove player tags so you actually have to locate players. Finally, remove all aim assist from the game....period!
-
I'd simply be happy if the drifter said where they spawned at to give use more of an incentive to go for him. "Invader crawling at steps!"
-
For me the invasions are too frequent, the invaders health is not the issue.
-
Bungie: nerfs sentry set even more, buffs invader set to include triple overshield. They’ll love it!
-
I’d be happy if while a Invader is present you don’t receive agro. I’m sick of trying to deal with tons of ads and a shielded Invader, make it one or the other, but not both.
-
Or just remove Truth from Gambit. Lets be real here that is the root of Gambits problem right now. But then Bungie will introduce another exotic that becomes stupidly broken for Gambit like Queenbreaker or Truth or Sleeper.
-
Invaders should get trusight as their wall hacks.
-
If you can't kill an invader then maybe that's because they good at their job and you lack the skills to kill them. Invaders are there to wipe out motes. It's not their fault they know how to play their role and you suck at yours. Just a thought.

Gambit is in a weird spot. Conceptually a PVE/PVP format is a wonderful idea and I remember how excited everyone was when it first came out. But in practice can it really work? Going in solo can be incredibly frustrating and there really is no point in forming a team and playing Gambit. I believe Bungie hoped it would become a highly competitive format, which they leaned into heavily with Prime, but the player base just didn't go in that direction. It seems a fair amount of players play Gambit and have fun with it but are there enough for Bungie to spend resources to keep it going? I don't know. I agree the invader needs some kind of adjustment but will it help Gambit, maybe a little.

Invader is the only set that can single handedly win a game in the first invasion thanks to bank locking and mote siphoning. Lets say you're playing gambit prime and the enemy team banks and you get invaded by a full invader set. You can't clear the bank without exposing yourself to the invader, but you can't sit there and do nothing since the blockers are siphoning your motes. It's not worth hiding to conserve the small amount of motes you already have, so the only option is to go to kill the invader, who knows your entire team's exact locations, has 400 health, and most likely has 3 chambered Truth rockets he isn't afraid to use. The invader disappears with your bank almost empty and blockers everywhere, and meanwhile the invader's team has been collecting motes and now has enough to invade again. The other team now has such a huge lead it's almost impossible for them to lose.

Invaders shouldn't get any bonuses at all considering that they don't have to protect themselves against PvE threats as well as PvP when invading. A good player can kill 2-3 people on a single life easily in Crucible without invader bonuses or when their victims are also fighting PvE at the same time. If anything, it's the defenders who should get increased defenses while being invaded, because they have to watch out for a player enemy as well as PvE threats. Either that, or make PvE threats also attack Invaders. Maybe make it so the Defense bonus only kicks in when someone Invades, so Invasion becomes a trade-off between being able to potentially wipe the opposing team, but also giving the invaded team defense bonuses which they could use to defeat the Primeval/other PvE threats.

Look how hard it is to stop an Invader: https://imgur.com/gallery/kF9SEO6

As in Invader and as a counter Invader I don’t see any problems. When I invade I kinda know where I’m going to spawn in and when they Invade I kinda know where they are going to invade so I focus my attention looking for the Red glowing object in those particular areas. Basically Map and Spacial Awareness is Key to Gambit. When I’m not Invading or Countering I’m normally hanging around the Bank taking out the Blockers. As long as everybody who is playing has a role/understanding of whom is doing what it goes really easy. You just have to figure out what Weapons works for you in different situations and personally I never use a Rocket Launcher for my Defending/Invading. =) I use a Scout because it’s more versatile all around.

You have no room to complain about anything in destiny since you are an AFK forge farmer!
-
The maim problem is that an invader can invade, wipe your team, wait 5 seconds and do it again.
-
No invading is a 1v4. The invader is a -blam!-ing glowing red dot, not to mention that you are very clearly aware when the invader is there, and for how long. Literally focus 2 people on your team towards him and you can take him out, it’s not that hard.

Edited by Pord: 9/16/2019 7:33:05 PMI never understood this. When someone invades stop what you’re doing and team shoot them or heavy/snipe them. I’ve always played the invader role but then after learning invasion spawns I literally kill ads around teammates(don’t pick up motes), kill blockers, invade, then wait for their invasion. Rinse and repeat.
-
Full invader set invader here. I easily get countered by teams who coordinate together or just fire truth rockets at me. Learn to be more aware of your surroundings and work with your team. It’s literally 4 of you vs 1 of me. Not even an overshield can stop that.

Edited by Sweet Lew 88: 9/16/2019 4:06:21 PMThose adjustments could make things interesting. I also think things arent that bad as is. I've seen invaders get instantly shut down multiple times. If you are devoted to the game, i'm sure there are tutorials on how to be an effective invader killer.
