So I’ve been in a D&D campaign for a while now, and I have a question in which I need your (off topics) opinion. So basically, one of the people in my party has had secrets (in character) for a while now. Anyway, he hadn’t really told anyone them until today, when he told another person in our party his secrets, but not the rest of the party. He did this under the pretenses that it would be fun for everyone, despite it simply not being fun for anyone but the two that knew. So, my question is this: do you think that it’s fine, or not? Please explain your answers, and thanks.

I don't see a problem with it. It's not like I go around telling everyone my life story for example.

If you’re the DM, kill him

Depends on the content.

It’s not something I would do, but that’s the beauty of it, no one plays exactly like someone else. If your character has no reason to suspect he’s holding pertinent information from you, then play it.

That’s a normal thing in the groups I’ve played with for decades. It’s usually part of character development and personal quest lines. As long as it’s not disruptive for everyone else I see nothing wrong with it.

It's probably just leading up to something later. Let it ride and let him play the role he wants to play. Would you like it if you had a secret and someone disrupted the table and session to get it out of you?

All’s fair in love in war. If him not telling you makes you mad, do something about it.
