Trying to Reduce Hard Drive space with Shadowkeep

I have digital versions of Destiny 2 and all of its expansions currently. Today, I bought the Shadowkeep Digital Deluxe Edition from the Playstation store. Am I overthinking this? Could I delete the Destiny 2 game download and then install Shadowkeep? Like the topic implies, I'm trying to reduce hard drive space. It's probably done automatically, but I'm just checking. Thanks!

  • Cool! Thanks everyone. I got the hard drive space, but just wanted to make sure. I've been doing this every year for 5 years...you'd figure I'd know what to do. Just started over thinking.f See you starside then!

  • If shadowkeep is like most updates, you’re not going to want to delete D2 as much of it will be needed for shadowkeep. Deleting D2 would likely result in needing to re-download the D2 files to play shadowkeep.

  • Hey there. You won't be downloading two different versions of Destiny 2 - you will only have the one version available.

  • No you would need both. my suggestion is get a External Hard Drive and use that.
