Question Regarding Cross Platform Play

So I play D2 on my xbox, but have a good coomputer and want to possiby switch to PC for shadowkeep. Do I have to purchase the entire game and DLC on both systems if i still want to play on xbox with friends, and on PC to be competitive? Buying the DLCs isn't cheap, is there something where I can buy it on one system and play on both?

  • Cross-play and cross-license are not an option. Cross-save is just for your Destiny 2 save data and nothing else, so if you want to access DLC content on a platform, you must purchase the license on the platform you wish to access it on. Please keep in mind that the Shadowkeep packages and the Forsaken package are two separate packages and neither are required to play the other or New Light. If you don't care about having access to any Forsaken or Forsaken: Annual Pass content on PC, you don't have to buy it and can simply buy Shadowkeep. What you decide to spend money on is entirely up to you, but you must own DLC on the platform you want to play that DLC on if you want to actually play with that DLC.

  • Sorry nope. If you wish to transfer to PC and play there as well, you must buy the game and DLCs as well on PC.
