Curious question: have you done any graphics driver updates between when you previously played, and now? It could be that your drivers need an update, or that a recent update is causing issues. I’d suggest checking on your drivers, as I’ve had similar issues to yours in the past (with other games), and it was due to improperly installed driver updates. I started only doing manual Nvidia updates, rather than the auto updates, and have not had this issue since.

I forgot to add that in the main post, I have done the normal Nvidia Game Ready Driver updates since that time, however in an attempt to fix the issue I have tried a few different versions, the most recent one, released on the 20th(?) and then an earlier one that a clan mate was using with no issue, sadly neither of these worked despite clean installing them both with GeForce Experience and without.
