And after 5 years of dealing with these beasts I want to make one thing clear to Bungie.
If you want to make Endgame PvE harder by adjusting a variety of factors then let me say this, after the absolute shitshow that was my road to One Thousand Voices.
If the next raid exotic is a RNG drop and not a quest exotic tied to the raid then you seriously need to make sure you get your drop rates right.
96 runs of Riven was only bearable because of how quick and easy the boss was to cheese once we began maximising and refining our damage strategies.
I had this same problem with Crux. Ran hard mode Crota three times a week trying to get the thing, only got it last attempt on the last week before The Taken King.
Basically, if raiding is going to become more like the days of old the loot drop rate needs to be properly adjusted to compensate.
That is all.

Edited by michael: 8/19/2019 5:26:19 AMI feel like raids should have their own pinnacle weapons in the form of what we now know as raid exotics to avoid the *insert atrociously high number* last wish clears with no 1K story we have all heard, but then people would probably complain about not having the cool moments of getting the super lucky drop so idk what is best
