Phantasms on the moon
Has anyone noticed that the dark aura surrounding the phantasms resembles that of the aura around the three vex bosses in the black garden in the campaign of destiny1. You know, the ones that the heart brought to life. I think it might be something similar in shadow keep, considering the fact that there is a vex gate to the black garden on the moon

My personal theory that i came up with in the shower is that the human looking phantasms are the members of eris’ first fireteam and they hold info on how to stop the baddies which is why theyre being held by skolas gary etc.

It's an aura of key fragments

That whole aura thingy is due to a crazy amount of darkness or dark energy present. Like the black Garden energy.

<The aura is due to the massive amount of Darkness present. The bosses had strands of Darkness leaking out of them. The Nightmares have large shadow veins protruding from their bodies as well as a weird 3D effect where there's like a ghost version of themselves with delayed movement by .1 seconds.>
