Hey, big noob here, have no idea whats going on. Only level 30 (after finishing cabal campaign and got tower) and i grabbed the solstice armor quests and have the broken helmet in my inventory. Am i screwed? Also, i got the game when it was free and im just now playing it, is it worth spending time now that activision is gone? Also, any tips/guides on general destiny stuff, such as when should i start farming for the good stuff, or where should i go after the cabal campaign? i heard about softcaps and stuff, once i reach level 50, is there still more leveling? Thanks

The solstice armor is a BIG grind for one set of armor. If your just starting off, there are plenty other things to do in game that will be more rewarding. I would focus more on getting good guns At this point in the game though most things will be rewarding enough since you're still levelling up, so I would just go for guns you want and play whatever you find the most fun. Tip: once you're level 50 look for power surge bounties that will get you much higher level gear (light level 690 I think) and they are pretty easy. I think drifter has them if I remember correctly

    • I'm sure what is good today will be sheznet when after the next update. At this point we don't know how the mods will work. If we can use 2 of the mods we have now. Armor will be different. I'm personally trying to knock out some triumps and collect upgrade materials unlock all the subclasses. I enjoyed some the black armor stuff. Many of the other game modes you don't get a whole lot of loot without playing until your wrists are sore. After you complete the forsaken campaign, you can pick up a quest to get to 720 from benedict. Leveling up is as easy as can be right now, so don't worry about it too much, there are plenty of junk powerful engrams to be had each day. When you are getting towards max light you can play Menagerie and more or less select the reward you get if you need something specific. (helmet, glove, etc. )
