I was watching Gladd's video about his thoughts on the Menagerie chest being patched and got to thinking when he began talking about time investment. So I decided to do some math. I found that a god roll Waking Vigil (Hitmark, Ricochet Rounds, Opening Shot, Slideshot, Range MW) has an exactly 1 in 400 chance of dropping. Assuming that each Menagerie run takes about 20 minutes (including loading and queue), statistically speaking it will take exactly 8000 minutes to find said god roll. That's more than 133 hours straight of playing Menagerie. Then I started to wonder, "Hey, so how long would it take to get a god roll on every item in the loot pool?" There are 28 items in the weapon loot pool for the Menagerie, and assuming that every single god roll has a 1 in 400 chance of dropping, it should take 224,400 minutes to get every god roll. That's more than 338 days of Menagerie straight. If that's not ridiculous, I don't know what is. The Menagerie is a waste of time now, other than for powerful gear and mods. Even with the old system, it would take almost 27 hours to get a single god roll. I'm fine with that. But five times that for a single god roll just isn't right. There needs to be more loot available from the Menagerie, and from forges too for that matter. Please listen to the community. I know no one wants to spend 133 hours farming for a perfect roll. Tl;dr -- It takes a ridiculous amount of time to get a god roll on a single weapon with the new Menagerie system.
Oddly enough, I got more consistent "god rolls" from Black Armory than I did from Menagerie. 200+ Austringer before I finally got Outlaw + Rampage. I called it there cause I wasn't looking for a "PvP" god roll.
