Edit: "theme change from earning a year 2 version from Menagerie to just make a year 2 version and unlock for those who had earned the original."
Make year 2 versions of the Raid gear and unlock it for those of us who had earned the original.
Rework all year 1 gear to be year 2 then make 1 Currated roll of every thing. Make Currated rolls reobtainable from the collections menu.
Making year 1 things we earned obsolete for the sake of year 2s sales was utterly stupid.
Edit: "Hell, Bungie just um next time you get the ol urge to simply reskin some thing, give it a new name, and say it's new, how about you use the Leviathan gear as a base and the Kingsfall gear as a base instead of the ugliest designs. I loved the way it looked and I'm sad it's useless now since it isn't year 2 gear."

Do the raid if you want raid gear
-
No raid gear should be acquired from only the raid
-
Would make the actual raid armor pointless 🤦♂️
-
Only if you actually earned the real armor. Tired of people who don't raid complaining the they want raid gear.
-
If you have the Y1 levathian gear, then yes, you should be able to obtain Y2 versions through menagerie.
-
Just make the old raids drop powerful and random rolled gear. Limit it to two powerful raid drops per week maybe. This will be needed when new players try free later this year bc it will encourage sherpas to Sherpa.

-
I’d be happy if it gave Calus tokens to spend at the vendor. Completing 3 menagerie runs in a week should allow you to purchase from the vendor instead of having to do a leviathan run.
-
I think it would be cool to get the calus/leviathan tokens to drop when opening a chest sometimes. Not guaranteed. Even if it's a rare drop

Edited by conkus805: 6/19/2019 3:23:47 AMpeople who are saying that you have to do the raid to get the gear apparently don't remember when we could get free raid gear from clan engrams in year 1. you would never even have to do anything and you could get all the gear as long as your clan mates were raiding. so, I don't see anything wrong with doing an activity, which takes place within the raid space, and getting the Levi gear. the weapons are not that great anyway accept midnight coup. also, even midnight coup is severely outclassed by a few handcannons that make it slightly irrelevant now.

Edited by Azoths_Gambit: 6/18/2019 5:54:08 PMTo those of you thinking I just don't want to raid: I already have most of the Raid gear, Levitahns their second easiest raid ever. I got that Handcannon that I never use. I have the scout-rifle that has been in my mains Loadout since vanilla and until year 2 of d2 "sins of the past" was my go to power weapon. I use to rock New Monarchy colors on my Levithan Warlock armor but like I've said before we need year 2 versions of all year 1 gear. Rework collections so there's 1 Currated roll of every thing. Make Currated rolls reobtainable from the collections. And if a person had obtained the year 1 version of some thing, the Currated year 2 version should automatically unlock. I just want a secondary method to obtain them and a year 2 version. Especially if Bungie wants us to build our characters our way.

Would’ve been nice to get the Leviathan armor as an armor option in the Chalice instead of the re-skinned Prodigal armor for Hunter. They re-use every other damn thing, might as well give us a shot at two-year old armor some of us will never see.
-
They should make it acquired from the new rai- oh wait it is.
-
They should make it available from the chest if you’ve already acquired that certain piece in the raid. That way it will give new players an incentive to do leviathan.
-
Should the curated rolls for the weapons be the current static rolls with the exception of those that aren't deemed weak? IE ghost primus would still have under pressure, high impact reserves/ambitious assassin then something for the mag slot and idk a range masterwork
-
Yes, wonderful idea. Then we can have an excuse to get redesigned raid gear. 1 up vote for you, sir!
-
I thought that’s what they’d do with the new raid armor XD They would be useful and make more sense for the new hive mods. But we’ve got a semi new set at least
-
You know what? As I was reading the title I thought: nah that's stupid. But now that I had time to think about it maybe that's not a bad idea? The leviathan raid is almost two years old now, it's very hard to get people to go play that specific raid, the token system is already outdated, and by giving Calus tokens in the menagerie you add even more armor and weapons by proxy The only downside would be that people who actually earned that gear might feel a little disappointed, especially the people who grinded prestige mode when it first came out. Although we do have emblems and other flairs that show we've beaten leviathan legitimately sooooo...
-
I agree, but only because the Opulence armor is horribly re-skinned. Hear me out, I’m fine with all these re-skins. Doesn’t bother me too much. But when they left the Iron Banner design on the Warlock robes...that’s a bit too much. I’d be happy with refreshing the cool looking Leviathan gear though.

Guardian,Archon Of Light
Blade Of The Traveler - old
Heroic Menagerie maybe , but not normal. Heroic Menagerie will be more difficult than Leviathan, which is the most simple raid in D2 -
Raiders need to feel special i they gave out the gear raiders will no longer feel special. With egos as big as theirs they need to feel special.
-
It’s a double edged sword idea, but I personally wouldn’t mind it.
-
To those saying "you should have to do the raid to get raid gear", let me remind you of the wall of wishes. You can get all Last Wish gear (minus 1k voices) without touching a boss encounter. What's the difference between that and what op's asking about Leviathan tokens? Give them a weekly cap if you feel that strongly.
-
I'm all for this. Since I can't really raid due to disabilities.
-
Why have cool raid armor when you could have shitty reskins?
