Lord of Wolves doesn't need to be nerfed.

The way I see it is yes, unloading ten shotgun bullets is quite a powerful attack, but when you see something like chaperone that can one hit to the head in a far distance, the shotguns pretty much combat each other. The only difference is that the chaperone can kill faster and requires more skill while unskilled players could resort to something like lord of wolves, which could be shut down by a precision head shot from chaperone. If players believe that lord of wolves needs to be nerfed, I won't argue with them, but chaperone would use a rework as well.

  • You are wrong. You see while the Chaperone is powerful as a shotgun, I'll give you four MAJOR advantages LOW has over the Mapperone. One: The Chaperone only becomes an intercontinental ballistic missile system AFTER a kill. While this isn't hard as you're using a shotgun, at least Barry the local dickwad cannot load up a godly shot simply by holding the reload key. Two: The Chaperone actually requires the player to have a modicum of skill. You see for this shotgun you need to be *accurate* Which, if you are defending Lord of Wolves I imagine is quite a feat for yourself. I might be wrong, but I am probably right. Lord of Wolves on the otherhand is practically impossible to miss with, if you regularly miss 10 -blam!-ing shots at 20 Meters you need to consider using something to improve your aim. Three: Lord of Wolves, despite requiring no aim, and no kill, OUTRANGES the Chaperone, even with the Kill-given buff. Four: Chaperone, while powerful. Does NOT allow you to oneshot supers. Even with a headshot. Lord of Wolves on the other hand will shutdown any supers, even the seemingly godly Striker Titan. This makes the Lord of Wolves seem more powerful than Golden Gun, which takes two shots to take down most supers. It's broken. If you don't think so thats okay, but I'm taking extra special care to relish any Lord of Dicks users I take out. I'm a submachine gun main, the Lord of Wolves is -blam!-ing rampant. If you're using it. Stop. Just stop...

Release the wolves can kill from 21 meters and can shut down ALL supers. Release the wolves should last for 5 seconds AND only be available to activate after a kill OR nerf the damage by 50% in pvp. Or buff the damage all around and make it a heavy.

  • Chaperone requires an empowering rift AND the roadborn active to match lord of wolves’ range. Also the chaperone bullets have so much magnetism it hardly takes any more skill than a normal shotgun, if anything it is a tradeoff of needing a little bit of practice to get used to in exchange for better and more consistent range than any pellet shotgun.

    • First of all lord of wolves can one shot you with all body shots and it's range is better than chaperone. Chaperone at least requires a head shot to get a one shot kill. Lord of wolves 100% needs to be nerfed in pvp. The ability to just hold reload and then have the ability to get several one shot kills in a row with body shots with a ttk of something like 0.2 is broken, over powered and total bull shit.

    • Except you can kill at 20m with lord of wolves. And only 14.5 with chaperone (16.5 after getting a precision kill)

    • Literally viable at auto rifle ranges

    • This comparison is ridiculous. Chaperone snipes people but but lord of wolves has much more range with the super burst and you dont even need a headshot. The fact that it technically doesnt kill in one hit is a small setback but someone with good positioning and awareness can easily get past this. Not to mention it is the only realistic counter to a super in the game besides peregrine greaves. Puts every other weapon to absolute shame.

    • Lord of wolves hits farther than chaperone with roadborn, and hell even an empowering rift on top of it. Release the wolves is definitely too strong for PvP.

    • That's not a fair comparison. Chaperone relies on high precision aiming or it's bumkis. That means in CQC it's actually ineffective because the enemy is too close to properly aim at their head. Lord of Wolves can operate at all ranges without needing any precision. It's just pure dakka.

        • Agreed, I don’t think the problem is with the guns but with crucible itself being unbalanced.

Dude...Lord of Wolves out ranges Chaperone...by A LOT and you don’t even need to hit precision shots to outrange it. Hell pair it with a Luna empowering Rift and it has more range than bygones (I’m dead serious, there’s a video clip of it) There is now way to justify this.
