With the introduction of Tarrabah: the exotic SMG from Crown of Sorrows, it comes to the mind of many that its perk does not differ much from that of Recluse. Whereas Tarrabah increases in power with damage both dealt and received, Recluse increases in damage with final blows with any weapon. Fact is, Recluse's power, citing its existence as a legendary and not an exotic, will likely exceed the new raid exotic in both power and overall utility. Most endgame players would prefer a high-DPS exotic like Outbreak or One Thousand Voices, over a niche weapon. Bungie: the community is sick of nerfs. If you wish to create weapon diversity, buff exotics like Tarrabah. But do not fall back on castrating powerful gear. This was the mistake you made when nerfing Lunas/NF. Instead of removing bloom: a change that would drastically boost HC diversity on console, you nerfed weapons that took many of us several months to get. Listen to your playerbase: we oppose having our gear nerfed to make up for weaker options. While buffs that would cause power creep should be avoided, potential buffs would be unlikely to cause this. Simply buffing the perks of weak exotics by an amount that makes them viable (e.g increasing Tarrabah's perk: Ravenous Beast by 35 percent or more), would be ideal. Such a solution would likely make the weapon in question powerful enough when maximized, to compete with its legendary counterpart. This is far preferable to us than seeing future nerfs. -CDM
