Being able to stop your teammates from diffusing is highly irritating,especially when it's intentional.. why the different game modes aren't separated out is beyond me, and leads to people no longer engaging in pvp

People are engaging in PvP just fine. If you are talking about people griefing by knocking you off the diffuse point, there is not much anyone can do about that because taking that out would also then take out the ability to resurrect you. Just report them for being bad players and move on with life honestly.
