Leavers penalty for being kicked by error codes...
Loading into a match and it just sits there at the ships loading screen for about 45 seconds, nothing happening... Error code kicks me back to orbit "Oops! you've left a competitive match"...
Your system can't tell the difference between leaving and being kicked, despite the fact it can generate an error code that CLEARLY shows I DIDN'T LEAVE VOLUNTARILY.

No, it can't tell the difference. It can't possibly tell whether you quit a match or pulled out a cable either. It's simply there to check if you left a match before it ended or not, because leaving (regardless of how or why) doesn't change the fact that you just left your team down 1 player and at a disadvantage, thereby likely ruining their odds. It's not a person so it can't think about whether there are reasons or circumstances you might be able to explain and therefor make a thoughtful decision.
