Wait did you watch datto latest video? Because in it he's not defending them, he's providing explanation. You can tell he's annoyed by the changes. Yep, that's the video. He is clearly annoyed and he is explaining the logic behind nerf. I equate his conversation to the politicians I don't support. It's about taking sides without understanding the consequences. His opinion is valid but not accurate (IMHO). So him explaining Bungie is rhetorical as Bungie has already explained why they are doing it. If the fundamental logic is flawed, no matter who says it and how it's said, it won't be fixed. Neither Bungie nor Datto has said anything to convince me (and maybe some other people) to agree with the changes. Consider it like an unpopular political dilemma. Some people will agree with austerity measures and say it has to be done but others will say there had to be some other way. In the end, people will suffer if austerity is implemented (short term) but they will never know if there was another way. Bungie is enforcing power austerity by nerfs. I am saying that it's lazy because they already messed up the content (saying that it's hard to make content in the past and now it's hard to make content for OP guardians). So my opinion is that Bungie is wrong (read opinion). Any level of nuance or charismatic speeches still have to change my opinion. I soloed zero hour and used DARCI (bcz I don't have whisper catalyst) so I get that it can be done. Gladd did it with whisper. I want to do that for fun. Now how is it justified that this is taken away? One way Bungie could have fixed this is what they did in D1 y3. Create capped level of content and activities with capped gear. For example, regular strikes with power cap of 700 where you can use old gear and new strikes with higher power cap where your old gear is useless. In this way people who don't want to buy next DLC/pass get to enjoy what they have and new [u]payers[/u] get new gear. This keeps community happy and no one gets a nerf for their gear. If you want new cool weapons you buy new pass and move on. This is one suggestion and there are far better ones out there. As someone who deals with software projects I can say that Bungie took the cheapest route by nerfing and making content useless.

And if it's just your opinion, idk why you feel it's appropriate to personally attack someone because they have one that isn't the same as yours. You've not provided anything to the conversation and have only furthered the toxicity of the forums. To being convinced. There's nothing either of them could do to convince you of the changes. Because you will disagree with them regardless, because it's a nerf. And nerf is a poisonous buzzword around here. For adding toxicity but rest of what you say is questionable Firstly, nerfs make a difference that's why Bungie is implementing them so your argument defies Bungie logic. Secondly, you won't be convinced by my arguments just like I won't be with yours or Datto or Bungie's. This is our position on the matter (aka base opinion). You are just a mirrored reflection of me so you are right where you are and we won't agree on this. We will see how these changes effect existing content and new content. You think it won't I think it will be a big bad effect. We will have to wait and see. Feel free to voice you opinion (or thoughts or whatever you call them).

A difference doesn't equate to uselessness. And I'm open to conversation. My base opinion is subject to change based off of the introduction of new information. It's why I uninstalled after I read the twab, it's why after some more thought I realized the nerfs aren't all that serious

I'm not a bdf champion, but you can do it without the perks/gear he mentioned. It's called playing the game yourself and finding out different setups, and not only using the consensus 'community' way.

Oh yes you can. Just like you can play the raid without riven cheese, just like you can stomp PvP teams without Luna's and NF. Just like you can farm for your favourite Nightfall god roll weapon without any if these. Same with zero hour, whisper etc. which you can do without any of these perks. I know you are not defending Bungie as your argument is 💯 valid and I agree with it. Bungie created D2 content with low RoI that most community want to get it done rather than legit the activity to have fun. This is why all the exotics will be missed. Take away these perks and D2 activities will be like Division 2's latest raid which people struggled to do on console due to no perks and bad console game play.

The reason i cant say that is cause while we do know about the nerfs coming to those exotics, we still dont know what new ones they have coming, what other sandbox changes they gonna make to effect current ones, etc. Until we know it all and see it in action, we just dont know how the game will play. And as much as people are complaining about the 'community' way to do things being changed, we've seen this before. There will be a new 'community' way to do things to replace the current one, and people will forget all about this uproar. That is until the next uproar time lol.

Just don't play this game and don't buy anything, that hurts bungle, i'm not playing this game and it works fine for me, i can play a lot of other things.
