After tens of thousands of posts for changes, help and ‘please don’t do that’ requests all we ever get is ‘we’ll give that feedback to the team’.
I can find no post with anything suggesting an idea that’s ended up being implemented.
This forum seems to exist as a place for players to talk to each other as there’s never any comment of any true value from Bungie.
Bungie doesn’t have Community Managers in the truest sense they have spokesmen, they write weekly posts to tell the community how it’s going to be, not manage that community.
That’s not to be critical of them but understand that they are not here for a conversation or to manage a situation but the unfortunate job of delivering typically poor news and we seem to expect them to engage and so forth, they won’t if the last five years are anything to go by.
What’s the point of this post? To get it off my chest more than anything as I’ve not been so invested time wise in a ‘hobby’ as much as Destiny. To see that effectively all go to waste is disappointing after 5 years.
I’ll still play now and then as I’ve like most brought the pass, but as for the future given recent attitudes what’s the point.
This items great, oh no, not any longer...

Bungie doesn't even play their game, they just look at spreadsheet data and make decisions based on that.
-
Just because an angry mob posts for change, doesnt mean we should listen to it. The forum is basically that angry mob. Its a forum full of casual players who hardly play this game. With barely 1 day a week to play, they preach like the game should be even more casual. Weve done casual Destiny 2 in year 1. It was a terrible game.

Forums are meant to be a place for people to chat with each other. Forums are not meant to be a place for developers to gather feedback and implement suggestions made by the community. This forum is working exactly as forums are supposed to. Entitled brats have the wrong idea and think this is where they tell bungie how to develop their game.

I couldn’t care less about the nerfs.
-
I’ve never seen a near 6k upvote in my life before this happened
-
Heres some. Nerf luna. Done Nerf Queens breaker and sleeper in gambit. Done Speed up super regen in PVP. Done Channge weapon slots from double primary. Done Add random rolls. done
-
We complain titans feel weak in pve, which is kinda true. But ask yourself why is that. Why are post popping up that say no titans? Simple since ursa's first nerf titans dont have the ability to spam supers, so they were kinda useless. The armor nerf will correct that but by how much? They still probably need to buff titan subclasses to a certain degree

And yet... here we all are.

This "LACK" of communication from the development team has done so much harm to Bungie you'd think that there would some form of presence from them here, reddit, Twitter, and so on to handle all questions and concerns. The ninjas do nothing but issue bans and the managers either can't be everywhere, maybe not allowed to have Q&As or they don't want to whichever. But in the end better feedback should be something they make a lot more effort at doing.
-
It’s almost like the whole point of game forums is so the community can interact. Not for the devs to find out what they should be doing
-
Not entirely true. Most official game forums serve as a "venting" outlet for gamers who are frustrated or disappointed with the game. Some forums serve as a conduit to give game developers feedback. But not many.
-
they're always listening, they just dont give a flying fcuK
-
We like the nerfs. Game needs balance.
-
It really is pointless. There are post here with 6000+ upvotes and Bungie doesn’t even care.
-
I’ll be sure to pass it on to our devs.
Bungie lingo for ‘go -blam!- yourself’
-
Welcome to end game. The real final boss is Bungle, we keep wiping but if we persevere we'll get them in the end.
-
They are listening/reading the anger on forums but they are too arrogant to address said posts and will carry out said nerfs anyway. They realise the Royal FU they made with the 3 main exotic armour pieces and know the new content will be decimated by them, that's due to bungo being average devs only and not great mission designers. Personally I'd rather smash content than play mindlessly for hours doing it. I'd probably even play it more due to the speed of completion, if something takes hours probably do it once or twice then leave it alone. Fun is what I want from games not hours of mindless grind. Not got 1k voices and don't want to run last wish for it, have 2 completions that was enough. I did enjoy my solo shattered throne but again once was enough. Give me Power and Fun, let me decimate all

You're 100% right. When your playerbase gives you 8+ months of feedback about Enhancement Cores and it goes summarily ignored, they're ignoring us. When these big nerf announcements lead to an explosion of anger, resentment, shock, disappointment, and outcry, and all Bungie does is say "Well, wait until it's in your hands and then let us know", they're ignoring us. When the "community managers" are better know for their social media memes and their trademark response is "We'll pass it on", they're ignoring us. That's just the way it is around here. Do you continue to take it, knowing you're playing a high dollar "live services" game where you are viewed only as a wallet with thumbs and have no other value beyond what you're willing to spend? Or do you take your business somewhere where your valid customer feedback is taken into account?

So right! One thing to consider is Bungie Nerfed the Forum as well, example below: Ninja's banning, removing, locking threads of serious players and letting Bungie diehard's run rampant across the Forum Threads = Nerfed Forums
-
They have managed to push the most upvoted and replied to post all the way to page 3 rather than face up to the shitstorm. Slimy bunch of _________. Fill your own word/s here
-
They'll wish they had when everyone is gone come Sept.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 5/19/2019 4:56:15 PMAs of right now, I'd say yes it is literally pointless other than for gamers to chat with one another. It wasn't as bad as it has been this last year in D2 giving feedback in D1, yes, at times in D1 things were like this but not as consistent as it is now. Why? because at least Bungie was somewhat listening. D2 they dropped it's like they drooped off the face of the earth because they knew they were going to get the backlash on how D2 released and how they are handling this game now. Just have Cozmo and Dmg repeat the same one-liners and call it good. Streamers are their only concern at this moment and they have proven that with the useless "community summit".
-
The problem is until people stop playing, nothing will change. And the amount of people in gaming who just don't give a -blam!- vastly outweighs the ones who do. I am sure 90% of the people complaining here still go home and log in at night too.
-
This man has finally found the problem, the source of the anger in he community, the part bungie has not understood, they need to stop thinking about themselves and think of the community, they can’t read the forums that they themselves created
-
Thanks for the comments, I'll ensure I take your feedback to the team.....

I skipped out on the pass. And just to demonstrate that I wasn't doing it due to financial constraints, I dropped 500 silver on that "Striker fists" emote. It's kind of a G-rated middle finger.
