Poor fuel economy stays the same??
This is exactly how Bungie manages this game. They provide us that Super Car for about 3 months. WotW is a GREAT example. This will be the 5th nerf to WotW in less than 1 year and brought down to really a Legendary level. Tatara's Gaze with Box Breathing (which I used anyway) is better IMO...with this future nerf, there is no comparison. Gaze all the way!! ...... but this is what they do. LH/NF same thing. The super ability gear - same thing. Sleeper - same thing.
But Hey!! Poor fuel economy (enhancement cores for infusion) can stay the same!! You keep buying fuel while I make your car less enticing to drive until it comes to the point of embarrassment ("people still play that game?").

Normally, in games based on loot progression, you could overpower challenges given enough time. The loot in D2 is so unimpactful, that even 50 light levels above something, you only feel slightly stronger than before. That's something D2 fails to get right; it doesn't reward the grind. It doesn't reward time and patience put into it, which is why it can't hold players anymore than a net could hold water. Getting "better" loot isn't actually better because there are so many mechanics that do not get any less stubborn regardless of how optimized you are. One would think that D2 isn't even a game designed around loot because of this. The difference between a blue and a "god roll" legendary is so minuscule it's laughable, once you look at the bigger picture.

An appropriate analogy... that is what it feels like. There is absolutely no excuse for Bungie’s incompetence in the area of balance. It’s piss poor planning on their part... but they do what they want with almost no regard for feedback. Folks, DO NOT pre-order their next yard sale of a game... you want them to hear you? NO pre-order.

you worked about an hour for the super car, in the case of whisper. it’s not an amazing comparison, given that every season stuff gets buffed too. that’s what happened with LoW, which is still just barely beneath acrius WITH a 20% dps decrease.

1 ReplyThat's been the formula for a long time now. Shiny new toy to go earn every so often, when the majority finally have it they nerf it and bring out new toys. It started with Gjallarhorn. It was perfectly fine being OP, the elitist "must have Ghorn" posts were just fine and dandy. Then over 50% had it and they were using it to blast apart the Prison of Elders bosses to the point that mechanics were circumvented. Then it was nerfed. They had videos of Atheon being demolished in October 2014, they knew how OP Gjallarhorn was. But they waited over a year to let it be the carrot on the stick. They've been doing it for years now.

We work hard and played worst missions in your game for that nerfs??? Jump puzzles, timer, immunity shields, stomps... are you think all this crap are fun??? Yes it makes that effect when after you finish the mission you are happy as hell but it is not mean we are happy to play missions like this. Zero Hour is most annoying mission I ever played for all my life. This mission is shit. Go play it by yourself. And all this need to play with some weapon that will be nerfed to the ground in after 6 months.

I'm pretty sure that with somethings when a bungie employee gets killed while playing online, they just write down the person who killed them online and checks out their builds and from there they plan on nerfing accordingly. So basically Bungie employees being salty end up making the rest of the community salty. It's frankly just petty. And with the content being so slow and spares... I still play but it's frankly a waste of time.

Even if bungie is nerfing these powerful exotics, more will be buffed up too replace them. I think it’s a little premature to quit the game because of part of a patch that hasn’t even released

2 RepliesAnd you know, it might not be as bad if these mega nerfs were on weapons and armor that everyone gets at the same time. The entire aspect of springing equipment killing nerfs on weapons that some players may not have been lucky enough to score until shortly before the nerf is inexcusable in every way imaginable. There’s a lot of disdain for Bungie on this board, but no one can reasonably say that it’s not a direct result of the outright disrespect that Bungie has had for their paying customers since day one of D2.
