Kelly, I appreciate that you write these posts because you care about the game and clearly want it to be better, but it's not doing you or anyone else any good repeatedly banging the drum, because it may as well be your head against a brick wall. Bungie are not listening, they are not conversing, there has never been this 'ongoing discussion' they repeatedly mention and the cycle of manipulative behaviour they set in motion years ago just loops again and again. * Add something cool and get us all buzzing, announce major changes a short while later. * Add something to grind for or obtain, nerf it later (once we've wasted our time). * Make a significant in game change, roll it back later (and sometimes not even admit it). * Promise not to do something again and just do it again anyway. *Etc, etc. Why do any of us put up with it? I get it, it's Bungie's game and they will do what they like, but their stubbornness and unwillingness to converse or learn will be the end of Destiny. We need to all wake up and realise when the enjoyment has stopped and we are just playing for the sake of it (or are addicted). There are better things to be doing with our time than trying to improve our hobby when in reality we have no say whatsoever.

At least the devs working on ROI actually took feedback from the player base and applied it to ROI among other things prior to ROI. D2 has been a mess since it released up until Forsaken and after Forsaken Bungie showed that they just don't really care anymore so you're right, it's actually a waste of time trying to give feedback to a company that is selfish. The "community summit" that happened twice is a prime example of that and for this company to say the streamers are our "community leaders", people that mainly only care about themselves, their next subscriber and mostly only care about PvP that do not look at whats the best interest for the entire game and player base is just straight out wrong no matter what anyone says. Bungie is at the point of actually saying we're doing what we just want to do and telling everyone to just give in or move on. I don't know about anyone else but streamers are not the only ones that pay Bungie's bills.

 • It's ironic when you think about how they listen to streamers for feedback on their game yet whenever someone on reddit, or these forums suggest something that could help benefit the game it gets flat-out ignored or gets the stereotypical we'll have our dev team look into it response.

 • I totally get where you are coming from. I pretty much agree with all of the things you said. There is no real conversation, no real back-and-forth. When someone from Bungie bothers to respond to a topic here, it's always the same generic answer, we have listened to your feedback and passing it over to the dev team, or we have noted your feedback and will look into it, or some other meaningless BS. Or literally says, yes, we have heard what you say, but we have decided not to listen. You might as well replace them with a bot that spams every topic and says the same thing. I honestly don't know why I bother posting here (well, currently it's more entertaining than actually properly playing the game), knowing full well it makes no difference. I have contemplated writing a lenghty post about my experiences with Destiny 2, going through all the frustrating bits and whatnot, but have time and time again decided against it, because it wouldn't make any difference. I do also believe that if Bungie keeps going this way, they might be heading towards the end of this franchise. They are definitely all the things you mention, stubborn etc. I think my tipping point was reached in the middle of BA, when I realised I had ran out of things to do. It also wasn't BA that had kept me interested for that long, it was Forsaken. And the more I've tried playing after that momemnt, the more I've not cared. I have record low numbers of hours this season, and not because I hate gambit or anything, but just because I haven't got any motivation. I managed to reach 700 somehow, but I didn't enjoy it at all, unlike getting to 650 even. I haven't even completed the exotic quests yet (not saying I won't get them, but still...) this season, which I would have done as soon as they were available previously. So yeah, a very steep downhill. And I will say this, I'm going to be surprised if things pick up for me next season. Very surprised. Currently I'm thinking that I might even be somewhat done with Destiny. I can't, with the current knowledge, in this state, see myself purchasing anything for Destiny 2 at least. Annual pass 2.0? Unless they reveal something amazing about it, no thanks. Comet expansion? Again, possibly, but I doubt we will get a sizable one. Any other options? I have no idea. All in all whatever they announce for the future of this game or even the very franchise will be a tough sale.

 • I've written many a post summarising my opinions and current feelings on the state of the game at any given time and all but a handful of times they've simply been deleted before I've bothered to submit it to the forum. Over time it's become more and more obvious we are talking amongst ourselves in here. This is not a platform for change or feedback, it's an area for people to sound off into the void.

 •
Why do any of us put up with it?
Millions of players, including myself, quit this game after D2Y1. The writing was on the wall and I just had enough. It has only become worse since then. I for one am glad I decided to ignore the hype from the so-called "community leaders" last summer and stayed away from Forsaken and the cash-grab Annual Pass. I would have liked to get back into Destiny but Bungie has given me ZERO reasons to return. The restricted progression and poor quality loot in addition to the constant unwarranted nerfs/changes make this franchise a hard pass for me (and apparently millions of others as well).

 • I made the mistake of getting the Annual Pass. I thought maybe, just maybe Bungie was getting the game to move forward when Forsaken released. So I took a chance and boy was I wrong. I will not buy the next "Annual Pass". Bungie has proven without a doubt that they don't have the manpower for this game and they are treating it only as a get me by. Unacceptable as a developer period.
