There’s a reason most of the player base mains hunters.

Yeah, maybe Hyolife isn’t a crackpot conspiracy theorist

I’m sure many of us have noticed how quickly the sapphire wire step of the thorn quest went by. Or maybe noticed the disproportionate number of classes killed on our pvp emblems. Hunters are, and have consistently been, the most played class. This is because bungies “balancing” team either can’t do their job or want to keep hunters at the top. Spectral blades now is as good as nova warp ever was, if not better. Golden gun, while not op, received a massive buff as well. That would be all well and good if the other two classes weren’t neglected consistently. +1 stormtrance chaining? Sentinel hitreg STILL busted? Gimme a break. I don’t blame anyone for playing hunter. In fact, I’m probably going to abandon 4 years of warlock maining for hunter after I finish this stupid quest. At this point, it is clearly the smartest decision for anyone who even dabbles in the pvp scene. True to the unscrupulous rogue archetype, hunter mains make the best use of what is offered to them by bungie, and are unapologetic about it. I respect that now. To reiterate, I’m not baiting for a class war. My beef is with bungie, not hunter mains.

  • Easiest to play I find, supers are strong in PvP and people like cloaks.

  • Well the reason is still the same as in D1. Best looks. Cloaks. Best jumps. Same reason as to why people pick titan if they want easy ability spam or warlock if they want the healz.

    • As a player of all three, I believe that hunters have the highest skill cap with there mobility and currently best crucible supers. Titans have great health and can ad clear well but don't have exotics that regen supers great and are easiest to use and a quality middle class for pve and pvp. Warlocks are overall the best support class with their rifts and wells, in the current meta they strive in raids and most pve events and are the worst for pvp. They all are good for certain aspects but I do firmly believe that if you want to strive in dps and comp. I recommend the hunter.

    • I have a reason...I chose it on day one of d1 and stuck with it. Is that ok? Not surprised to see someone maining a warlock complaining that warlocks are "ignored". It's funny how the classes being ignored are exactly the same classes that the player is using. We all know balance is difficult in a game with so many different aspects, whether we admit it or not. And we all know patches don't come once a day or once a week, they take time too. I play all three characters and in my exoerience, the balance isn't as bad as people make it out to be. They all have strengths and weaknesses and they play differently with different playstyles. Can stuff continue to be balanced and be closer to one another? probably, but it will never be perfect. After the next parch, people might be complaining about warlocks again. Hell, with those new gauntlets, it might happen before then. Balance is an on-going process and no class is intentionally being "neglected consistently". They have buffed lots of titan and warlock stuff in the past and will continue to do so when they think it's the right move. There are 100s of weapons, random perks, class abilities, etc. in this game that are all different and work differently, so no, it's not that the team doesn't know what they are doing or "want hunters to stay on top"(which really makes no sense, why design 3 classes if one is preferred?). They have a lot of stuff to balance and I guarantee they are trying to do the best job they can. They do, after all, want to keep as many players as possible playing their game. That's why the "cater to streamers" argument is so hilarious to me. People actually believe they try to prefer one player over another? What kind of business sense does it make to cater to the least possible amount of players as possible?
