Dear bungie, please do not buff or nerf the last word hand cannon. It is fine- no it is perfect how it is. It is balanced and fair and extremely fun to use. It has a skill gap to learn unlike most weapons and is rewarding if you take the time to use it. The recoil is fine, the handling is fine, the rate of fire is fine and the damage is fine. It is not underpowered or overpowered. I love my last word and it is incredibly fun to record with it.
