Small rant about Destiny 2: [spoiler]I'm pretty annoyed with Bungie right now. I bought the Forsaken + Annual Pass combo, so I was excited to play the new content. I enjoyed Forsaken, but got bored of doing the same stuff over and over for the chance of getting either a Prime Engram or that measly +1 from challenges. I never even hit 540 because I was sick of it. Now, Bungie is basically saying "Hey, we made new content, but in order to play it, you have to keep grinding old content first." This is what people mean when they say "artificial grind". Grinding just for the sake prolonging the experience. Look at Destiny 1: when Rise of Iron came out, the level cap was raised to 400, random drops could be obtained at 365, gear could be bought at 380, and the raid was recommended 385. This meant that you could get to a decent level and start enjoying the new content on day 1, and almost everyone was on level footing when the raid dropped. This is how expansions should be handled.[/spoiler] As for Anthem, I am really excited. Watching the Twitch streams and reading the AMAAAA's (is that enough A's?), I'm expecting it to be my next 'big' game. The one that I can put 1000+ hours into, like Destiny 1. Everyone saying it's going to suck because Andromeda sucked and they're both made by BioWare should know, the branch that made Andromeda was dissolved. Anthem is being made by the core BioWare team that made the good old games. It also seems like EA is taking a step back and letting BioWare make the game, giving them plenty of development time and minimizing microtransactions to cosmetics.

I've already signed up to playtest the closed alpha for Anthem. I'm just waiting to get approved now, can't wait to see if it is what it should be.

There will be people that play lots of Anthem and people that play lots of Destiny. You are comparing apples to oranges. Lots of folks ate sick of the apple that is Destiny but that doesn't mean it's any better or worse that the orange that is Anthem. They are different games. Hope its a good one.

I’ve had the Legion Of Dawn Edition pre ordered since it became available on the Xbox store. I’ve kept up with the game via its streams, YouTube and the 4 different discord groups I’m in. Needless to say it’s the game I’m waiting for.
