Allow me to get this straight. By no means am I supporting legitimate weeaboos, this is just trying to clear up the names for people who watch anime to relax or for fun. [u]Weeaboo-[/u] A weeaboo, or “weeb”, is someone who doesn’t just like anime, they act as if they are Japanese themselves, and they are not. They also focus heavily on making the Japanese culture their own, and either dislike or despise their own culture. Usually used as a derogatory term. [u]Otaku-[/u] Someone who enjoys anime, without turning it into an obsession. Respects both the Japanese culture and their own (typically). They also don’t try to “become” Japanese.
