It is your own fault. Having all slots full was your first mistake. And your second mistake was not going to the tower after it dropped ...or grabbing it from the postmaster from the app.

 • Sure, I realize there are ways I could have prevented it, but don’t you think it’s kind of dumb that this is the way it works?

 • No.. It is not. Old drops get pushed out for new drops...it has been like that for 4 years.

 • Do you think the postmaster would be better if it worked like I suggested?

 • No. The postmaster is working as it should.

 • I’m not trying to report a bug. I understand that what happened is currently the intended behavior of the game. I think it could be improved, is all. Why do you think my suggested change would not be an improvement?

 • It is not up to the postmaster to decide what I find important to keep, if it has been sitting there so long that it can be pushed out the postmaster is correct in thinking that I have no need for the item. And even if my postmaster is full I just hit "collect all" in DIM, or use the app to pick out what I deem important to keep.

 • Do you think you'd ever decide that an exotic that is higher than your current max light isn't important to keep? That seems like a pretty safe assumption to make, in my opinion.

 • So to keep that exotic it might not accept the EP shotty or throw it out? Long story short: Empty your postmaster when he is near full. He is a last resort, and not some vault or inventory extension where things can be prioritised as the user fits. The rules are incredible simple, everything not picked up goes to postmaster, when postmaster is full things get trashed since user thought it was not important enough to grab them. No more, no less. I get what you are saying, I just do not agree with it.

 • The EP shotty is a Legendary. My suggestion is to trash your most common, least powerful items first. If you happen to have a Postmaster full of Legendaries that are all higher level than that EP shotgun, then, yes, it would be trashed. My suggestion wouldn't solve every case of the Postmaster discarding something the player wanted to keep. I understand what you and others are saying about player responsibility/accountability, and Postmaster simplicity, but I don't think my suggestion is outrageously complex and I think it would make the game more fun! The Postmaster deleting my exotic wasn't fun. For the record, I don't think my Postmaster was anywhere near full when I left the tower to start my run. Maybe two items. If the game had told me exactly when I filled up the Postmaster, instead of when I loaded into the tower at the end, I would have gone back much sooner.

 • No. It would make it worse . Because eververse items are also exotic....and they would push out older items. Also...exotics never drop for me anyway...so i dont have that problem.

 •
exotics never drop for me anyway...
I feel you :( Ideally, under my suggestion, the Eververse exotics you get would only push out blues.
