Movement modes all classes

So with the new update, it’s clear that Titans & Locks are having their movement modes (speed) adjusted in addition to there being a general buff to player speed on the whole. My question is, hate me for playing hunter or whatever, what happens to the hunters? It’s way too early to say, so I’m not saying anything yet just speculating, but if both titans & locks will be able to “skate” around (titans especially) how will that be balanced? If hunters are supposed to be nimble fighters, sure-shot sharp shooter ninjas, & what have you; shouldn’t hunters be the ones able to move about with enhanced mobility? If titans can fly across the map (move better than hunters via skating - which is a skill but is soooooooooo easy to do) and place down barricades that reload their guns much better than dodge does & blocks damage, then what is the point of the hunter? Token subclass? At that point just give the titans Golden Gun & Tether and just get rid of the hunters. Ok but seriously, in D1 it wasn’t so bad because at least hunters could blink. Now, if D1 style titan “super sonic Minecraft: god mode” mobility comes back into D2, I’m gonna have to play Titan - which is fine. But my hunter will wither and rot away never to be played again - which is not fine. Again, who can say yet. It could be balanced (which is a word people hate apparently - but if you hate balance, why don’t you go play through dark-souls with infinite health cheats & one shot attack cheats & then tell me how fun it is being unbalanced as you mindlessly play “medieval walk/roll simulator 3000”). Anyway, if it is unbalanced .. maybe hunters could be able to move faster on the ground than the other classes or something. That could be an interesting trade-off, but if the classes all move the same AND Titans & Locks can literally zoom in the air - then it is my opinion that something is wrong with that.

    I don't see needing a bump to hunters. I main a hunter. What i don't like is this though... Hunter can only max mobility Titan and Warlock can max (or near max) any of the 3 stats. The new update makes Titans and warlocks faster than hunters. I set up my Hunter with 10,3,3 and raced a warlock that was 4,6,8 and a Titan that was 3,9,5 .... The warlock won the race, followed by the Titan and last, the Hunter (with TEN mobility) no one was using special weapons or gear to boost speed either. This makes mobility completely useless and hunters cannot "cross over" to increase their recovery or resilience like Titans or Warlock. This is essentially a hunter nerf. Everyone goes as fast or faster than a hunter and get higher R&R... GTFO I put this on the help forum hoping Bungie can explain and thinking maybe it's a bug, but i don't think they'll respond.

    • Hunters need a buff in speed. There is no fairness in the other 2 characters being able to outrun and float around on the map while shooting in air to outgun the hunter. Bungie clearly needs to fix this garbage. Other players will just throw in their 2 cents to feel included but, the hunter deserves to be balanced with speed and jump action, no excuses!

      Hunters still have the most freedom of movement of any subclass... Then try wearing the exotic boots St0mp-EE5 to give you even more insane movement. You can jump much higher than anyone else, higher than any Destiny 1 subclass too even with Bones of Eao. Seriously hunters are just fine.

        Hunter jump was already the best in game why would it need a buff? Hunters overpopulated crucible as is. You want a buff to your hunter jump use the stompees boots. FYI base mobility was increased which should increase your jump speeds as well. Hunter jump and hunters in general were out performing titans and warlocks. Nightstalkers especially with all their mobility options were being used most in crucible. The Titan and warlock jumps were brought up to the same level as hunters jump to get some hunter mains to move to Titan and warlock. This spreading the players out more evenly between the classes. The reason nightstalkers got an invisibility nerf was to get arcstrider and golden gun used the same as nightstalkers. Bungie’s goal has always been to have everything used the same amount and to make everything equal. If you think the other classes are going to be op fell free to switch to it. I doubt you will. Titan barricade only reload your weapon with the half shield rally barricade which is almost pointless in pvp.

          • Let’s not forget, Warlocks now how D1 Shadestep/Twilight Garrison built into them. Hunter class ability: Dodge that takes 20+ seconds to charge without Mods. Warlock Icarus Dash: A dodge that takes 6 seconds to use while jumping (the requirement of Twilight Garrison with the time of Shadestep). Then yeah, first time I’ve seen any game make a Scout class the absolute slowest. Slower than a Tank and a Support. Yeah, Hunters didn’t really get much from this update when you really think about it.

          • You want hunters to be noticably faster, well i want titans to be noticable tankier, and warlocks to be noticably "recovery-er" classes in this game just dont work like that because "balance"

            • Bungie doesn't think it's an issue yet, a couple hundred people across different threads contenting and liking. Here's a link to my help thread where a mentor replied.               • I feel like people are still confused on how mobility works. It dosnt effect your speed. It effects walk speed and side to side speed. Also height of a jump.

                • There's no reason for the hunter to be this slow. I maxed my mobility and still wasn't feeling the speed they were talking about

                  • I made the mistake of messing with my hunter first. The only class not to have it's jumps reworked. I did not feel any quicker. Without any mods, grenades still felt slow. Not the spam fest I expected. Leave that to the strikers and striders.
