Bungie's offering a fair solution

Bungie's idea to make it so that people without the expansion can still do nightfalls on original map packs that they purchased and still do trials on map packs they have purchased is fair. If you are going to Institute this rule then you should also put them on a rotation every other week or so otherwise people cannot plan ahead their raid groups. However changing the prestige achievement to only apply to the raid is not fair because I earned that in a Prestige Nightfall. Also as a paying customer it's unfair to remove a source of 330 light gear for my raiding experience. But all in all you have come up with the most Fair solution you can in the time allowed so I say good job Bungie.

Did they actually take back the achievement from people who already earned it from the Prestige Nightfall? I didn’t bother getting the DLC and got rid of the game. Just curious how low Bungie has gone if they actually took back the achievement from people who previously earned it under the previous achievement stipulations.

  • Oni is right. If a customer pays for a service, you provide that service. No developer in history has had the nerve to lock base game content behind a pay wall. That like selling you a car only to steal the headlights a week later

You're a major dumbass if you think any of this is fair or a good solution, the solution should be restoring vanilla content to what it was and separating Curse of Osiris from us, not having it impede upon us, if we wanted that titbit of DLC they call an expansion we'd buy it, and I'm pretty sure a lot of us have more sense than to waste £16 on a piece of DLC.

    • It really feels like they are punishing us that paid for DLC. Like they achievement should stay as an either or, especially with dropping the raid to non-DLC light. My small clan has never been able to finish a prestige nightfall...been close, but we just aren't overly skilled players. So now we have to get a group together to do a full prestige raid for gear that we don't want or need with it's low light.

    • No. It's not fair. We were told that there would be more relevant rewarding end game content. Those of who paid for the expansion not only don't have more relevant rewarding content starting tomorrow, we have less. It's absolutely ridiculous that Bungie is putting the wants of the nonpaying customer over the paying customer.

    •
Bungie's offering a fair solution
I agree. What they are offering seems very fair. Deej said: To make matters worse, our team overlooked the fact that both of these mistakes disabled Trophies and Achievements for Destiny 2. This was an unacceptable lapse on our part, and we can understand the frustration it has created. This choice of words from a PR/Community Relations representative is extremely strong, and really emphasizes that they are taking this issue very seriously. I commend them for bluntly owning up to the problem that was created.

    • This was the only solution they had. Not allowing access created a loophone which allowed people to get refunds. All Bungie did was close the loophole
