Bungie - The Vagueness in the updates is causing as much turmoil as the update itself

I think it's well past time that we get rid of the words like slightly, briefly, toned down. I completely understand that we don't want to have another [b]0.04%[/b] debacle again but I know I'm not alone in thinking that's still better than [u]slightly[/u]. [b]- Reduced Pulse Grenade damage slightly...[/b] This gives us so little information it's silly. Especially in light of the other grenade buffs. Are PGs and other AoE grenades in like with each other now? Did you feel that PGs were so strong that you felt it necessary to tone them down as well as buffing the others? (Instead of just buffing). These are the questions that have been brought up due to your vagueness. [b]- Decreased the distance traveled in the air with the shoulder charge ability when it is executed without a target[/b] Why exactly was this done? Was it to bring it in line with shield bash and hammer strike? OR was it to curb the Event chest griefing? This example is why people feel things were done for no reason. There must be one so tell us what it is FFS! Don't misunderstand, I felt this was a good tuning patch. Many things that were brought up in Feedback were addressed but for some there is just no clear reasoning. This has led to speculation and assumptions and likely the wrong reasoning. Why wouldn't you want to avoid this from happening? You claimed to want to be more transparent with your road map and direction but it needs to be here as well.

    • The vagueness it there to try confuse people into actually thinking bungie are doing things when they are not. Just look at the list bar PG every other nerf is uncalled for not saying PG need a nerf maybe just a small adjustments or buff other nade to bring in line. How could you feel this was a good tuning patch but everything so vague not trying to be smart but sounds a bit contradictory. Haven't bought the dlc because just not feeling the game atm but seemingly Prometheus is OP as f and form vids I've seen it looks that way so again it's a balance patch on par with OG suros vex how is that a step in the right direction. Transparent all they want is your money bungie don't give 2 fs about you or me or anyone else for that matter.

I'm pretty sure it didn't even equate into a single bullet's difference in damage... Seriously... there's a reason that's a meme now. || insert 2 tokens and a blue reference here || It just shouldn't be that easy to mass up with such out of touch attitudes/changes that they literally have to hide changes just to spare themselves a month before someone figures it out anyway.

          • All I know is that they still have not done their job correctly since I can still go to open a chest and then get nothing from it. Then have it happen over and over and over again sometimes as many as six or seven in a row... I'll never get any weapons from the forge because I can't loot the goddamn things that you're supposed to from the chests... I know public events too but I've had zero luck with them. Even on Mercury, which I heard was supposed to be guaranteed, well it's not...

If you want to do a "better job," cite actual figures and offer [i]some[/i] reasoning as to why certain things were adjusted, such as Shoulder Charge.

                  • They didn't do shit, only things we really got were super damage buffs, an auto rifle flip of damage, new gun sounds, and a shoulder charge nerf

                    • You have to remember bungie doesn’t know how to communicate already so it will take some time to learn kindergarten level communication skills. For example “working as intended “ is not a fukking explanation but to bungie that’s enough. Maybe in Y5 they’ll get it down.

                        • Yeah I don’t understand why they can’t just put the goddamn percentages in there. It leaves no room for interpretation. A 5% decrease in damage over time, versus 10% is huge, and that might all fit under the umbrella of “slightly”

                          • I feel you. What exactly qualifies as an [i]aggresive[/i] handcannon for example? I understand their hesitancy to not name names. As soon as they do that people will abandon guns for the guns that have been buffed thus starting the dreaded meta cycle again, but at least give us an archetype. Also Titan charge was nerfed so us hunters could feel special. True facts.

                              • Ive seen rockets shoot a chest off the map. How would itbstop the problem? Wouldnt making the chest solid to the ground like d1 chests were solve the issue?
